Bless you all for such a warm welcome and God Willing Watercolor, I be here on a daily bases..

If you wonder why I say, "Bless you" and not "thank you" i figure that we all could use all the blessings we can get and that all thanks be God's Alone, but then I'm rather Old Fashion and very conservative..

I put the above photo of the self portrait I did this Fall in Red Oak and Black Walnut. One of the other subscribers accused me of being that Witherspoon feller. <LOL> I told his, "right horse wrong wagon". <Smile>

Welcome Mike. Finally, another woodworker on here.

My dad makes homemade wine too (among other things ). My favorite is Dandelion wine. Course, my dad also makes me a whole jar of "special" cherries. That is my all time favorite. :yum:

Ever tried Elderberry Jam with a touch of MD 20-20 in it..

I helped my Bride of 31 years pick dandelions to make dandelion jelly.. We picked every dandelion in the county seems like and got mayne 3 pints of jelly.. So I give up on trying to gather enough dandelions to make Dandelion Wine, but I got no problems with picking a good mess of Dandelion Greens now.

I love me a poke salat. :yum: Actually, you are making me hungry, think I'll bail early for lunch today.

Poke Salat is okay, but I'd rather fry the Poke up with some speckled dick and mustard greens in some bacon grease or lard with some Pintos, fried salt pork, some corn pone, onions and some chow-chow, kick back and grown all night long with the heart burn, but then heart burn is what they make Bakin Soda and Vingar for ain't it?

Can't go the ramps.. They are like that Pink Battery Bunny on TV and go on and on and on and on. :barf:

But ya know I was born in West Virginia in the Independent State of McDowell County..

Zuchick,

I saw this on your site:
My mother's family came over with Lord Baltimore in the 1600's and settled in Southern Maryland.

I suspect that makes us related. My family was on the same boat.
