Following the Tigger's advice to start a new Thread and introduce myself, here it comes.
I am Michael Zuchick III aka Mike Zuchick aka Kozubchik on IRC Undernet. I am retired due to COPD and all but homebound. I use to live near Leonardtown between 1988-1991 and left when I became ill. I now live here in Tobacco Country about two minutes from Hanging Rock State Park which is about 20 minutes out of Winston-Salem, NC. Got two youngins still in Southern Maryland a son 32 and a daughter 31 and two youngins here in NC Joanie who is 27 and John who is 30. Got 5 grandbabies still in Southern Maryland and two grandbabies here in NC. All my babies are married off now except for John. Been try'in to get him married off for nigh-on 12 years now with no luck, but I'm always open to suggestions.. All he does is work, eat, sleep, Internet and work some more.
Been happily married to my Bride for 31 years now and after being married for 30 years, I finally figured out how to do the dishes. <Grin> Aquired Learning Disability Syndrone or ALDS is why it took me so long to learn how to do dishes... I have found that most Hubbies have the ALDS.. I was born in Bottome Creek Holler in the Independent State of McDowell County, West Virginia and raised in Carswell Holler. I am also very devote Greek Orthodox Christian with Antiochian Orthodox Heart, by the Grace of God.
I spend most of my time Internet'in and making saw dust which is about all I can do these days.. But I like make my diddies for Friends and Family and sell a few pieces here and there to keep up the repair and replacement of my tools. I would rather give my diddies away then sale them, but gotta pay for my tool upkeep somehow.
If ya wish, ya can checkout my work at
www.scrollsaw-works.com.
This is not a promotion, merely showing my diddies off.
My Bride of 30 years threatened me the other day when I brought two Quilt Stands, one made of Aromatic Red Cedar and the other from Black Walnut, over to the house. She said if I brought another piece over she was going to break my fingers. So needles to say I've not had my saw dust fix in a couple weeks anyway.. She said she's got no place to put the Wall Plaques, Quilt Stands and such now.. However I understand her point.. Still got an Aromatic Red Cedar Porch Swing hangin up on the back porch of my shop I need to get shed of.. Maybe in the Spring I will part with some of my diddies. <Smile>
Oh, I forgot, my memory is not so good these days, but I manage.
Well that is enough about me for now.. Your turn Southern Maryland. Can't wait to hear from you..
