Yep, VERY,VERY bad.. The Chinese out there had it the worst. I used to date a girl who works for the paper there, she started working on the story about six months ago, and I looked over the research..I still shudder when I think about those poor people who died and where affected.

I left there back in December 1979. Even back then they had days of nasty rain, mud/rock-slides, blocked/washed out roads, and flooding. But I'm sure some of the area is still high, even if not dry. No pun intended with the "high" comment.

I spent a few years just outside of Point Arena at the Air Force Station and people think we are in the boonies around here.
