Holding McCarthy’s Feet to the Fire

Geatz has already said he can get behind either Jordan or Scalise. Plus he's open to changing the one person move to vacate rule back. If true and he falls inline, the other 8-10 will as well. Then who do the moderate Reps support? As I said earlier, rumors are that many do not like Jordan based on his history as a back bench bomb thrower. (Didn't stop Newt though.)

Not gonna happen, though. The rebellion has no leadership. So far it's just Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz, and people who say they don't want the Stalinist Democrats and their helpmates in charge also don't want anyone to push back against them.

Humans are largely cowards, which is why villains throughout history have flourished.
I don't believe humans are basically cowards, and the problem is that Americans like their comfort. They have jobs they have family, they have basic freedom of movement and most live pretty comfortably, and don't want to give up those comforts , it is just in the last couple of years that those things that Americans love have watched a threat to those comforts. Inflation, less job security, getting arrested and held without trial , watching open corruption, many things are beginning to come to light that Americans will eventually not put up with. Villains have flourished for a time, but history records the operation of Vigilantes and uprisings to put thing right also. It's too bad that it takes so much to wake them up. Something that could have been put right in the beginning by a vote turns into Civil War. I point out the other day when people got out of their cars and moved the Enviro wackos out of the street. When people have gotten enough, they act.

🔥 Politico ran a surprising story yesterday that expressly contradicted the Establishment Media narrative, with a headline saying, “Majority of Americans — and even the majority of conservatives — support McCarthy’s ouster.

image 4.png

It was a polling story. The news was packaged in the form of a CBS poll reporting that 75% of Republicans surveyed agree Kevin McCarthy was “ineffective,” and 60% supported his removal from the Speaker’s position.

Nobody liked McCarthy. The article reported even 70% of people calling themselves ‘liberal’ backed Kevin’s ouster.

The story contradicts the original media narrative, which was that Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.), who moved for McCarthy’s removal, was just a lone political opportunist, a clueless “chaos agent” out of touch with the party’s base. But the CBS poll suggests instead that the majority of Republican representatives in the House are the ones who are clueless and out of touch with the base, not Gaetz. So get it together, people.
