Yes, but it allowed him to claim a small business status when filing his taxes, and pay less. Just like the big money types. Actually, I'm surprised, because most business he associates himself with are in ruins by the time he leaves or shortly thereafter.

Or....they're making matches to donate to various county jails and what-not. Then the prisoners light the match, let it burn out, and make little model churches out of them! Growing trees does not make you own a timber company. They could be Christmas trees. Other possibilities exists but that seems most plausible considering the time frame for sales.
