I saw a video in Mountain View, CA (where I used to live) and people were lined up all through the parking lot to get into Costco.
Buddy of mine that lives in Frederick said their local Costco was absolutely mobbed this morning. No karts..long line outside the store just to get in..and nothing on the shelves. Insanity.

And I'm sitting here with a year's worth of all supplies...just smiling. Or maybe smirking...

Yep, I work with a woman who works at Costco full time and works for us parttime. She took a picture, they were lined up around the building waiting to get in at the one in Brandywine.

Three rolls of paper towels will last me forever, I usually use hand towels. 6 rolls of TP downstairs and 2-3 upstairs. Foodz in the pantry and freezer. I quit smoking and drinking, so I don't need those.

Queasy?? Afraid of someone robbing your supply?? You have guns, don't you?

I haven't watched but a few minutes of this. Why are we supposed to be preparing - are they closing stores or something, are we being restricted to our homes? My entire family has been calling me up and telling me I need to prepare. Have I not been watching enough movies about this stuff or something? I really don't get it.

Toilet paper, all you need is toilet paper ;)

Impulse buying 101:

Panic stricken and totally overwhelmed with fear that the zombie apocalypse is pending, I drove my car to a famous name store and grabbed the first shopping cart I could!!! Running feverishly down the isles of bewildered shoppers, I scooped up gallons of Round Up, Johnson’s Baby Powder, Tylenol, whole milk, red meat and chocolate and 12 cartons of unfiltered cigarettes with Juul oil smeared on them.
Hey, that’s all that was left, but I shopped!!!!

I've read nothing that indicates this virus has lower intestinal surprises in store.

My immune system is a bit compromised post cancer (58 months today since the diagnosis), but am taking no more precautions than I di against the flu, which has killed over 20,000 so far this season.

We have about 30 days supply in the house. That's prudent, to be prepared for any emergency.

I used to have a box of Carnation instant milk in the cupboard for emergencies, I think it got so old I tossed it.

Found it! Date code 4324MH1 = Nov 20, 2014. Only a little over 5 years old. Shelf life, according to Nestle, is 2-10 years past date code.
