I smell politics. Same thing with Linda's in Ltown. The fix was in to get rid of her. Never had a bad meal at Do Dah, or Linda's.
Do Dah was inconsistent both in the food and service. One day you could have good service and the next day you were sending out a search party for your server. I had good meals and I had meals where the cook forgot major ingredients in the meal - like the spinach in a "florentine".
Never saw the place full. Don't know how it did on the week day lunch time.
I've been to Linda's in the park and was never impressed. Again, service was always a question. Particularly at lunch, people need to get in and out.
I will make one observation about both, and it could have affected service. Staff knew and would shoot the breeze with a few "regulars".
You can't afford to bat .500 in the food service business and that's about what I would guess they did. Half the time good, the other half some sort of problem.
