How did you meet your spouse

I tried to get back in the Navy after being out for 6 years. The recruiter tried everything. I was not able to get back in. I called the recruiter a few days later and asked her if she wanted to go for dinner. We have been married for 6 years.

Guess you got back in the Navy in a round-about way huh? :lmao:

How did you meet your spouse and how did you know they were the one?

I was going through a box and i found a picture from the first day that my Hubby and I started hanging out. It brought back memories. We actually met in 2001 but he doesn't remember because he was to drunk...lol! In 2003 I went to my friends house and laying on the couch sleeping was this guy. So i sat on him and punch him in the azz. He woke up and rolled over and looked at me and smiled. I said i know you. He said i don't know you well not yet...lol! After that night i didn't see him for a couple months. I kept asking my friend about him and he did vis versa. He kept going out to sea so i was like what ever. Then the day after St. Patty's Day he came back and when he walked through the door i was so happy. We all went out had fun. The next day i told my friend i was going to marry him. She laughed. We went out on our first date and he looked at me and said you wana be my girlfriend so i wrote on a napkin yes and circled it. 6 weeks later he asked me to marry him. When we finally did get married it was 6 months later and now we have been married 4 years in September.

I love the stories where the female says "I'm gonna marry this guy" and then it happens. There has only been maybe a couple of times in my life that I thought that. The last time I thought "Maybe", (because by this time I never said it as a "definate" thing) he got weird on me and decided that he preferred his freedom I guess. Too many issues going on.

Why is it always the woman who think "I'm gonna marry him"? Do men ever think "I'm gonna marry her one day"? The only thing I think of is a man "Running for the hills" at the idea of marriage!!!

I just read part of the thread of Men afraid of a Bad Marriage. That's my problem!!! I'm scared to death of having a lousy, crappy, marriage and grow old with someone whom I will eventually can't stand the sight of him.

I been thinking on switching to Mormon and moving out west.
you know, getting me a couple extra wives so as to take some of the work off the one I currently have, shes not in her 20s no more ya know Im starting to feel pretty bad about kicking back on the deck watching her work the land.

Besides, she said sex was becoming a chore, Being the caring guy I am, I figured it would be a nice gesture to bring in a girl to help out.

It happens. My father told my mother on their first date that he was going to marry her. He did, and they have been married for 46 years. My ex-husband told me the same on our first date. He did, and we were married for 20 years.

I happen to be seeing a man who has no desire to get married, and that's fine by me, as I have no desire to be married ever again, so we suit each other in that respect.

I met my husband when i was 16 (he was 19) in a chat room online. I skipped school one day and was playing on the computer and started talking to this guy in texas, well next thing I know 3 hours had passed. We started e-mailing and calling and 6 months later he moves to md from texas! My parents were not happy about this at all! Four years and several navy deployments later we got married. Its been 11 years (7 years married) and one beautiful daughter together.

I met my husband in 1990. I worked at Mechanicsville Burchmart and he was a customer. He liked me, but I had a boyfriend and wasn't interested. My boyfriend and I had just graduated high school, and he was joining the Navy and leaving shortly for boot camp. My now-husband was very persistant and eventually won me over. I knew my boyfriend and I wouldn't stay together when he left for boot camp. So boyfriend and I broke up, and I got together with hubby. We got married in 1991 and are still together.

:howdy: Don't forget me (see post # 30). We'll celebrate our 26th anniversary on July 17th.

:lmao: I always seem to get the ones who have already been married (for the umpteenth time), and they would rather put themselves in jail then to remarry again. After I get to know them, it's probably a good thing!!! :lmao:
