How many gears?

It's the total distance between each of your vertibrea. The easiest way to measure 'total' travel is to measure your hieght before and after a ride.

Ah. That explains why my "suspension travel" is so minimal; I have a total of 7 vertrebrae fusions (I'm not kidding...)

If anyone belongs on a vintage hardtail Harley, clearly it is I.:buddies:

That's GOT to go. Disaster waiting to happen.

That situation fixes itself. The pipe that always drags when I turn right with the flathead is almost ground away to the point where something else will be hitting instead....soon.

I have to watch how far I lean into a turn. Usually just scrap the bottom exhaust pipe a little.

I scrape the pegs all the time on the GW. Love me them low hard turns.

I have a video somewhere taken at the rt 235N to 4N merge. Have to see if I can get a still off the video.

Yeah, but you're not 5 ft nothing and don't need your bike lowered. I'll always have to watch so I don't scrape.
 I've lowered mine and I still tip toe at lights
Me neither. After about 5 miles I can feel nothing at all.

I really, really, really disliked my hands, feet and but feeling numb like wrapping a rubber band around your wrist and cutting off the blood flow

Nah, you get to know exactly how far you can go and it's just the very bottom aft tip of the pipe that hits not the whole pipe.

I get that but, what about an emergency? I want all the lean I can get. I'd rather wash the rear having run out of what the rubber can hold than get stood up by the pipe if it ever comes to that.
