but seventeen have had the bug

39.6 Million have ' contracted ' Covid [ using the over inflated infection numbers from over testing / hyper sensitive tests ]

639k have dies

1.2% of those infected have died [ I'm not going to debate the with covid vs from covid ] that makes the numbers higher

What I posted earlier was really unkind. I know a lot of POC who are very hard workers, some with the vax who seriously believe in it, some not.

All the worthless people in this country will some how find themselves exempt.

From what I'm reading - the delta variant has created a bump. Not a surge.

That bump is already falling

17!?! What does your family do? Live/work in nursing homes? Meat processing lines? Spend all their time In a casino? I know a lot of folks an none have had rates like that.

This country has long been impacted by a lack of general hygiene, I see it when I’m out and about, just disgusting how some people treat their bodies.
Out of all your friends and family, 17 sounds high? :twitch:

Are you all alone in the world and no one likes you?

We do of course have Vrai who has said in the past that NO ONE she knows has gotten it. I know of at least 7. It may be more, but not everyone tells me oh I had the 'rona. FIL died from it - Mom had it when she died, but she died of something else. A family I know, EVERYONE got it. And MIL got it and survived (not surprising - that woman can survive the Apocalypse). And an old acquaintance got the Delta and was critical, but survived.

So who knows.

If he's been vaxxed - he can go outside.

What kind of science says EVERYONE has to have the vaccine before YOUR shot works?

If that's true then the shot doesn't work at all.

See, that's the thing: if your shot doesn't work to protect you, then neither does theirs.

This morning a nurse told me that the point of the vaccine is to lessen the severity of covid should you get it, yet the overlords are saying it's for the benefit of anyone I come into contact with.

They're banking on most people not having the ability to apply logic and walk it through. And it seems to be working because there are a lot of vax fetishists out there spouting nonsense.

That was awhile ago, now I know maybe 20 people who've gotten it. One had to be hospitalized (our buddy StillCrazy), but none died. Everyone else had either no major symptoms, or they had regular flu symptoms for maybe a week before they recovered.

I think there's also an overreaction to routine illnesses because of all this "you're gonna die!!" pandemic hype. Then you throw in the #metoo people who didn't have the virus but do want to be part of the gang, and who knows what the numbers actually are.

I personally know a woman who swore her 5 year old had covid, even though the child had no symptoms and was never tested - she goes on FB to tell everyone how her daughter almost DIED! when that is not true. She also says the kid has peanut allergy, and ADHD, and is on the autism spectrum. So yeah, she's one of those, and she's not the only Munchausen Mommy out there.

5 people in my circle of family and friends have had COVID. 3 of the 5 showed no symptoms at all, got tested due to exposure and tested positive. 2 had flu like symptoms and recovered fully in a couple of weeks. This was pre- vaccine.

Sources at at Mary’s hospital tell me about half the COVID patients they have right now have been vaccinated. The caveat is that the vaccinated symptoms were not as severe as the non-vaccinated.

Any idea on the severity of the symptoms of those not vaccinated?

I guess - mentally - I look at the numbers of severity and - well, well I guess it's like a GI helmet.
If they say it stops 70% of all bullets - well it only takes ONE to get through, right?

I think it is fair to look at the numbers - if you're not immuno-compromised - or elderly - your chances of severe illness from COVID
are already VERY SLIM even if you catch it. And our friend Still Crazee I think must be in his 70's. My MIL is in her 80s. If you do absolutely nothing, your chances are pretty good. And data says your chances of spreading it are about equal to the vaxxed.

I guess I'm not seeing that the vaccine is providing protection that is on orders of magnitude. It should be by all the hype, nearly invulnerable.
I mean, isn't that what they said? 95% effective? Assuming that not being vaxxed still means, you're somewhat "protected" and getting vaxxed increases that - somewhat, but not absolutely - what is the damned panic over?
