Having lived in FL as long as I did, people became complacent about hurricane warnings and often, it was a bad storm or scaled down by the time it hit. Back then, we relied on local news and didn't have TWC.
This hurricane sounds pretty serious and I worry about my good friends in Fort Myers that refuse to leave. Well, HE refuses to leave. His wife wants to go. They have sustained a lot of damage to their home and property in the past.
What I don't understand is why people didn't already have their vehicles fueled up and supplies on hand already? More complacency with a touch of ignorance?
But I have always been a full tank kind of gal so I don't understand letting your vehicle get low on fuel.
