When you hear 'em say things like that you know you're doing a good job....

That is a little relieving, hearing your childs response. Good Job Mom. Great to have a great relationship with your children. I am sure that has opened the conversation door for them to speak openly with you.
I just want to say thank you to Vrai for her post advice and to the many others who sent pm's offering advice. I am still quite numb about this whole situation and whether it was right or wrong of me to post the thread will remain to be seen.
I have thought alot about this the last twenty four hours and yes I most certainly feel for all people involved. Everyone involved is dealing with many emotions, confusion betrayal etc.
I will say this if by posting this on here and a parent who had a child in daycare there or who let there child go to play & or slept over there saw this or any other report and asked their child about it then I have no regrets. Children, teenagers consider adults to be role models that they hope to emmulate one day. Can children be sneeky and deceiptful? Of course. I would say it would be a very rare scenario that a teen would accuse her friends dad of misconduct because so and so wouldn't give her game back. Has it happended before I am sure somewhere out there, but is it likely?
I feel most for this mans daughter and his wife. They are good people and do not deserve this emotional upheaval. I do know they draw great strength from god and hope there faith will get them through this. Of course there is confusion at there home. His wife and child just got a look at a whole other side of lthings that will forever change their lives.
I mailed her a letter today to offer my emotional support to her and her child. I am still working on how to approach this with my younger ones.
Looks like Tom88 to me, the cop buttboy that defends dog killing by cops serving warrants.
Ya know, I haven't really found anything I wanted to post about. And I wasn't going to post about this until I saw this.
Cop buttboy? Are you talking about the lying piece of crap who said his dog was chained up, but the dog attacked police officer and the officer then killed the dangerous preditor of a dog?
And now you and your pals want to come on here and defend a child molester. Yea, you certainly are on the right side of both arguments.
I wonder, how is the lying dog owner's law suit going? Oh wait...there is no law suit because the brave officer was correct in the actions he took!!!!!
I don't recall who it was that called you an embarassment but boy did they ever hit the nail on the head. You answered your own question nitwit. I don't care WHAT you do here. I said if you did that while working for me then that would get you in trouble. I'm through with you and all your incarnations Barney Fife. See ya.
I followed that thread and there was photographic evidence that showed that dog was shot near his leash. I still think the officer's actions lacked and FYI, I'm not otter's bud, just calling it as I see it. I read every word posted, every article, have a long history in law enforcement, come from a family that is law enforcement and still didn't feel the officer was right. I'm entitled to my own opinion whether you like that opinion or not. It is my prerogative and if you don't agree with that, fine, we can just agree to disagree agreeably and be done with it.
An accusation, such as this, can ruin a person's life founded or unfounded. This isn't as cut and dry as a man's wife coming up missing and his other one found dead under suspicious circumstances like drowning in a dry bathtub, with interviews, etc. to formulate opinions from. Sex offenses are just different, often on he said/she said information and sometimes have other factors behind them, such as, custody battles, step children who know exactly how to rid themselves of the a-hole step parent they don't want around, alcohol issues, etc. People who are just charged can loose their friends, jobs, house, cars, etc. I have seen it happen. For those close to the situation, you have every right to be cautious and every right to ask questions of your own children who have had contact.
First things first. If you have a long history in law enforcement, then you will remember that the investigation was concluded and the officer was found to have acted properly. Remember in that whole situation, the only person to have lied was the dog owner when he said the dog would never bite anyone, then we find the dog bit a trusted neighbor the year before. So make your assumptions based on photographs taken by a known liar.
The second part, I don't know if this guy did this or not, but there was someone who said they were a cop in the county it happened, and the cop said that people don't get arrested on he said/she said stuff. I don't know what a "history in law enforcement" is, but it would seem to be that if you are a cop, you could either contradict what the cop said, or confirm what he said.
You don't have to remind me what the investigation concluded, I made it clear I followed every word. I just disagree with you, period and preaching to me until you turn blue isn't going to change my opinion. You don't have to like it but a mature person would respect it.
I'm not trying to change your opinion. If you choose to believe the dog owner, who we know lied, who is the person who took these photographs, and had ample time to stage anything he chose to stage, over a police officer who was there legaly, and the police investigation, well then obviously you are not a reasonable person and how do you change the mind of an unreasonable person?
I'm curious, I didn't really follow this too well. What was the reason the cop shot the dog?Well...I don't think it is reasonable to call me unreasonable because I don't agree with you.

owertrip:
If its the case I remember
Is that your attempt at a flippant cop bashing remark, or do you actually have some evidence to support that?
thats seriously what I recall it being(my opinion though...based on the facts I heard...Like you I didn't get too much on it because it didn't really peak my interest too much...could have gone either way as being a cop bashing or a legitimate cop screw up :shrug

YOU really are a dullard aren't you?
Well, honestly, he isn't far off from what many thought.

In a nutshell, the officer claimed the dog (a German Sheppard) "attacked" him and he had no choice but to shoot it while serving a child support warrant.
It is an extremely long thread with well over 1500 replies. People thought it would never end, and I think anything and everything that could have been said on the subject, was. So, there really isn't a reason to rehash it here. Please don't![]()

O.k, not trying to rehash this, but what does this tom guy mean? Is it true the guy lied and took these pictures?
