I am in shock

My Sweetest Boy
IMO, if she knew he was under investigation (and how could she not) then she should have removed the daycare children from her home on principle until the whole thing blew over, or at least let the parents decide. I would think that better than taking the risk of another child being hurt, regardless of what the authorities think/say. If I were a parent who had a child there I'd be really pissed for her potentially putting my child in danger. There's been plenty a woman who thought her man wasn't a criminal and it turns out he was.

You're not getting it.

This is his crime, and his crime only! I don't think his family should be villified either. There is nothing written which indicates they knew anything about this! Lets not put out wild speculation.

I'm not making wild raving speculations.

Why is it you feel I can't have an opinion about this?

I'm not discussing this particular situation. I am responding to people's post which question the authenticity of the allegation.

I am clearly stating that in these types of investigations, that people are not charged on crimes when it is a he said she said.

Someone has to speak up for the victim before the crowd begins to tear her down.

Lets not shoot the messenger! HE BROUGHT UNDUE LIGHT ON HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY!

You know he may faint from shock, but I gotta defend smcop/mpd on this one. In MOST cases(Duke notwithstanding) police will NOT arrest without direction from the prosecutor's office. And the prosecutor won't apply for the arrest warrant unless he's got the do'er by the proverbial shorthairs.

This thread has made me not care about 'innocent until proven guilty' anymore.

That'a really sad (not to mention scary) if a thread in a forum made you stop caring about something so important. Why would you let strangers have that much control over you?

Well, in this case, again, Don Barzini doesn't know what he's talking about again! In the Duke case, it was the corrupt prosecutor, who had political ambitions, who insisted on the boys being charged even though the evidence didn't support it.

In cases such as this, in the jurisdiction it occurred in, there generally is no arrest warrant. There is an arrest because it's a felony! There is a prosecutorial review of the evidence, and the decisions are based on the totality of the circumstance and evidence.

Pretty obvious don has been writing tickets his whole carreer, or hiding out in the high schools.

Alright numbnuts, you won't even let me stick up for you will you? I was trying to agree that the police wouldn't have just gone off on a witch-hunt. I said in MOST cases. I do not work in St Mary's co. Nevertheless Police do not HAVE to immediately arrest for a felony in any jurisdiction that I know of unless it is committed in their presence. They can present the facts they have compiled to a prosecutor who decides whether or not to apply for an arrest warrant. So GFY d!ckhead.

The police detectives in this case were directed by the prosecutor's office.

Police in jurisdictions other than Don's apparently are smart enough to know what a felony is.

I don't know what state Don works in, but PROSECUTORS don't apply for warrants.

Now what are you trying to say here?

Well come on now don? Man up. Didn't you say that because I lowered myself to someone, I would have a tough time working for you? You said it because I called someone a name? Why is it o.k for you, but not me Don?

Because like Swayze said in "Road House", "Be nice, until it's time to not be nice.". And when I'm off-duty, and dealing with a supreme dumba$$ I don't have to be nice.

Don, when I am on duty it's the same way. I haven't been on here representing my agency, or saying I am a cop from here saying these things. So I ask you again, why ok for you, but not me?

I don't recall who it was that called you an embarassment but boy did they ever hit the nail on the head. You answered your own question nitwit. I don't care WHAT you do here. I said if you did that while working for me then that would get you in trouble. I'm through with you and all your incarnations Barney Fife. See ya.

So you assume I would act in a different way than you would act. You should leave Don. You are a beaten man. You have no argument. You contradict yourself, and have different standards for you and those who you would have work for you! That is a sign of poor leadership. But that is what I would expect from you. Your picture is appropriate! It fits you well.

To say you don't care what I do here, is ridiculous and a lie. HERE is the only place you know me from DON!
