Those look really good and I'm not even a big fan of sushi.
I like being able to put in only what I want. This has spicy tuna, avocado, carrot and cucumber.

I've never had sushi, and don't think I could eat raw fish. Those look good, though.
Today is Thing2's birthday, but we went out for his birthday dinner last night. He picked Italian. Today I made chili, so we could finish the stuff we had to do around the house. And I made his cake today. Texas Style Chocolate cake with a boiled chocolate frosting. It's a chocolatey chocolate! He's in heaven.

Can't cook sushi on a grill? C'mon, all it takes is a little imagination. Even that should dawn on your small mind!
It's not raw fish, the tuna is cooked. Sushi is about the rice, sashimi is about the raw fish.

Well it looks very good! Mama Lucia's over here in PF. He & I got the eggplant parmigiana, Thing1 got pizza. The eggplant came with a side of spaghetti & and salad. We thought the salad was icky. (Iceberg lettuce with a couple of cherry tomatoes, maybe 2 slices of cucumer & green bell pepper, & red onion.)
But the eggplant parmigiana was really very good. Almost as good as mine, Thing2 said.

Shoot, you could roll up anything you want. Guy Fieri did some "gringo" sushi with brisket and french fries.
That's what I said last night! I was a little surprised, because the other food was very good & tasted authentic. (enough) I ordinarily don't go out to a restaurant for Italian anyway, because I'd rather make it myself. But it was for his birthday and his choice. But I'd order the eggplant parmigiana for takeout, even!
