I have calmed down enough........

...........now to be able to relate the horrifying--pee my pants----experience I had this morning.

Here I am tooling up 235 North bound to work , slow poke in front of me. Thought I would pass (running late again) (hey... it's a screaming fast benz-right?) As I come up along side of the beige/tan colored van (chevy Astrovan?) he/she decides to pass the car in front of it! DIDN'T BOTHER TO LOOK AROUND OR SEE ME ALONG SIDE HIM in the south bound lane........... Thank god I have had defensive driving (ambulance driver/emt) and I quickly went further to my left onto the side of the road...... I am LEANING ON MY HORN. DUMBASS never saw me........or heard me.

Meanwhile, my DH is in front of the van (couple cars ahead actually) and saw me pull out with my blinker on to pass, then doesn't see me anymore.......
whew. He finally did when I passed him.

I'll be keeping a look out in the Ridge area for this ahole and when I catch up to him or her they will get a piece of MY mind.....

OK.....I'm there done venting

Generally, it's not good to pass more than one vehicle... no matter how late because just like you... they can and often to exercise that option to pass as well -- I thought it was an unspoken thing that if someone was going to pass - the person in the front of the one behind them has the first go at it and then the other vehicles follow suit if they choose :shrug:

Generally, it's not good to pass more than one vehicle... no matter how late because just like you... they can and often to exercise that option to pass as well -- I thought it was an unspoken thing that if someone was going to pass - the person in the front of the one behind them has the first go at it and then the other vehicles follow suit if they choose :shrug:

they gave no indication that they were going to pass. and I was already along side them when they decided they were going to WITHOUT LOOKING AROUND OR IN THEIR MIRRORS.............

But you were in the back of the traffic jam... I don't think it was up to you to pass everyone up... those in front of you I think out of courtesy should have had the right of way :shrug: I'd never think to look behind me when passing someone :shrug: generally my pedal is to the metal trying to hurry up and get in front of car in front of me.... If I do have three cars in front of me going slow I pass them ONE AT A TIME. :shrug: Moreover, I think if you had hit the van from behind while both trying to pass at the same time, it would have been your fault and negligence. Regardlesss, glad you weren't hurt ...
