Sounds like she tried to pass 3 cars to me.

I took it to mean, eventually, to catch up with her husband. Notice that she didn't refute. She is probably still shaken and not understanding why she is getting flamed.

I, personally, have passed, one at a time, three cars. Legally. I have also had an ####### cut me off. Luckily, I didn't have to go over an additional lane to avoid becoming ground food.

You need to study traffic law and the rules of passing. FIRST you look in your rear view mirror then your side mirrior then your blind spot BEFORE pulling out!!! Despite what many believe, rear enders are not ALWAYS the guy behind's fault. If I am making a perfectly legal pass and your dumazz pulls out on me, I will own you & your paycheck for life!
See above for rules...... And she did not speed up to hit him as you continue to state. She was along side him when the moron decided to pull out to pass forcing her either into oncoming traffic or the shoulder. ALWAYS look behind and to the side BEFORE pulling out to pass!!!!! How hard is that???

I'm saying generally I think the rule of thumb should be you yield to the cars or car in front of you... Does someone have the exact rule on this? Post a poll???? Kwillia -- no my search thingy isn't broken... I just got a crap load of work to do... if not I'll look it up later. My point was just because someone cuts you off it does not give you the legal right to speed up to hit the person which I am kind of equivacating this to be.
Thanks
See y'all :howdy:
What? How do you equivocate that?

Anyway, you should check behind you anyway, whether you're supposed to or not. It doesn't hurt to be safe.

Boy if you call those flames... it's been awhile since you seen a good flamewar on here... :roflmao: I don't think this as being flamed more so of a discussion and I was just thinking on my last smoke break what a great question and topic this was. I'd be glad to see the rules on this myself.

Okay, rereading, it sounds like a 3 car shark jump. I would, even though guilty in my attempt, be angry at the minivan driver for running me off of the road.

generally I know if someone is behind me or not when it comes to back ups... I like to see how many other folks are are being inconvienced by slow idiot that can't pull over to let faster vehicles pass. But if I go to pass, I don't expect 10 cars flying up the wrong side of the road to pass before I do if I'm the one in front of them... as for emergency vehicles... I generally hear them way before they catch up to me.

So you can hear a Emergency Vehicle on a silent call

ANd one day, you're going to cause an accident. I'd rather err on the side of caution and check to make sure no one is behind or beside me when I'm passing. Suz', from what I'm reading and interpreting, was cut off by and idiot who should have looked behind him, beside him and in his blindspot. I'd be pizzed too.

I doubt she could see past the minivan to know how many cars there were.

I just wouldn't do it. My butthole puckers when I see people trying to pass. So many accidents happen that way, and I worked for the state police and read so many accident reports/fatal investigations that happened because somebody was passing. I'm talking about 2-lane roads. I've even heard of people speeding up to avoid the pass to just be buttholes, because they took offense to somebody trying to pass them. Those ones are hard to prove. Usually you end up with somebody dead and somebody who says "they might have" speeded up, not sure.

You've got to be a priority 2 to go lights and sirens.
I was talkin about what Dems said that she usually hears them, so how can ya hear them if they are on a silent call?
