NOPE. Nothing on the door, nor inside stating anything even relating to them NOT participating in teh promotion, nor that they had made any kind of donation to The Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

I'm thinking I misunderstood when I mentioned that they might have donated to local volunteer firefighters, now that i re-read the website & my email.


Stress, kids, sleep deprivation... I'm beginning to think that I didn't read the email that I recieved very closely. Corporate mumbo jumbo succeeds in decieving a very tired mind. ( or what's LEFT of my very tired mind..LOL)

I went there the day Dunkin Donuts was doing the free iced coffee promotion and there were signs everywhere saying the were participating. Guess they are owned by the same person? Are these places franchise?

I also received the email about the promotion and when I went in the store at 5:00 and asked the young guy working the counter about the promotion. He replied very sarcastically, "31 cents, I'd buys 20 scoops!" So I went to my truck and brought in the email I'd printed, the "manager" then came out and said they opted not to participate because when they heard about the promo they went to the local firehouses and "the firehouses" were not interested. BS!! Being associated with 2 firehouses in Calvert County I can pretty much guarantee they would not have turned down such an oppurtunity. Of course my kids had their hearts set on ice-cream so I bought it any way. While eating the manager came over again and I informed him of the attitude I received when I asked about the price. He said he would talk to the guy. Yeah right!!

Guess I should Fastforward before I reply but WTF - Most franchise chains will caveat their ads with the "available at participating stores only" because while the corporation may be making the offer, not all franchises may be required to participate. I know the Quiznos in California does not honor any of the coupons or offers. Some of the McD's do the same.
