Imams upset

link Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks -- two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin.
"That would alarm me," said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. "They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane."
These guys need to be not only banned from flying, but from airline terminals.

I'm still trying to figure out how two of them ended up in first class when they were told at the counter when they wanted to upgrade, that upgrades were already sold out.

NOTHING about this story makes sense as a "harassment" or profiling complaint and everything points to a possible plane takeover. At the minimum, their behavior was suspicious.

It makes perfect sense. The terrorists have changed tactics. Instead of hijacking the airplanes, they now create a "situation" which can (1) terrorize the flying public, (2) get a sympathetic hearing from the media (notice how conveniently CNN was there with their cameras to present the entire story from the Imams's perspective before the passenger and flight attendant stories could be collected and publicized?), and (3) throw the American airline industry into suspicion.

I'm beginning to believe the terror tactic has now focused on the American airline industry more than the financial infrastructure. They are avoiding targeting European airlines.

I didn't even realize the passenger and flight attendants had stories...

Is there a link to the buried articles where I could read these?

No, they were going to hijack it on the ground and smash it into another airplane. Didn't even have to take flying lessons. They didn't want anyone leaving. :lmao:
Actually I kind of figured that that seating gave them position advantage and a little more room to manuever.

Two in the front, two in the middle, and two in the back of the plane.. not taking the exits into account, I'd say they would have a tactical advantage over the air marshal where-ever he may be sitting, and control the rest of the passengers fairly easy at this point.

Bottom line.. send them to Guido..

...more clear than hindsight. It's obvious, now, what 5 men with box cutters and one or two of them with rudimentary flying skills can do with a plane.
Had anyone posed the scenario before hand to the general public I think many people would say 'so what? Certainly you can't take over a plane with boxcutters or pocket knives!"

We know now that the box cutter boys and their accomplices ran a number of dry runs to see what would or would not spark notice. It's certainly no big stretch to understand the value in seeing what type of reaction various planned actions might cause.

But nobody has labeled any of them as "terrorists" just criminals.. and none of them could have been sent to Guido..

Personally I think every gang member should be labeled a terrorist and dealt with accordingly, but apparently nobody in the gov't has the backbone to take that step..

Yeah, I think a terrorist type 1 and a terrorist type 2 designation should be used.
Type 1 being a foreigner who is attacking the US anywhere.
Type 2 being a special interest type or a criminal type like a gang member, but still a resident of the US.
