I want to go to University of Florida.

Exactly. Nobody is forcing you too

EITHER WAY

I agree that it is stupid to basically force Americans to learn Spanish... I'm just proving a point about the other thing that you don't necessarily HAVE to unless you happen to live in florida

We will just go back to the good ol' "force them to learn english if they want to live here" thing, which I agree with but it won't happen.

It's not impossible to learn enough English to function here. I mean, c'mon, I can say please, thank you, excuse me, and "f-off" in multiple languges :killingme. In fact, you need to speak English to work in business or IT no matter where you live.

It's a requirement for journalism in most states.

But, I'm not doing journalism. I'm doing SPORTS reporting. There's a huge difference.

I can tell doing the few sports reports I've done there's a major difference in the approach.

Multiple times.

Most people in India with any sort of education speak English (it was part of the Empire you know [said with aristocratic accent]) and techical manuals are in English. Guy I used to date got his engineering degree in Iran and had to learn English as a requirment for his degree.

Last couple of days I've had to deal with MD social services. I refuse to press "1" for English.
Turns out that gets you a real person quickly :yay:

You are familiar with where many MLB players are coming from now aren't you?

And what about World Cup action? You need to understand more than "Beckham" and "gooooooooaaaaallll!"
