Just as a side note, the Cosco carrier I was referring too has a high squared handle now the low to the seat rounder ones as in the Graco carriers that need to be behind the seat. Therefore if the child is properly restrained and even if they do move forward in the seat there is plenty of clearance so that they do not hit the bar.

I think every parent should just read the manual, pratice using the seat, and attend a safety check sponsored by the police or such before their baby comes to ensure they are doing the proper process.

And we certainly appreciate that. But - each seat is different and you cannot generalize that ALL seats need to have the handle down to ride safely. It's up to the parent to read the manual that comes with their particular seat.

Look, get over it. You are the one getting defensive. All the rest of us were saying was that on OUR carseats, there is no indcation that the handle needed to be up while driving. I have a hard time digesting the fact that these MANY manufacturers would subject themselves to NUMEROUS lawsuits just to save a sticker. If it needed to be down, there would be a recall, or something sent out. I'm not bashing you at all. As I said before, IT WAS A JOKE. I'm glad your concerned, but at this point, to me at least, you have become obsessed with the issue.
