But tell me this, Do you go back and check those instructions periodically to make sure you know how to adjust it properly as your child grows? Your kid isn't growing all that fast now, but as an example, I just realized last week that my baby carrier didn't have the straps coming through the correct holes in the back. Baby's out grown the one set of slots and it needed to be moved up. I've always adjusted how tight the straps are, but since you have to pull it apart to adjust how high the staps are, I didn't notice it.

First off, let me say that I AM glad there are idiot-proofers out there to double check and keep the kids safe. I won't argue that. I just think it's sad there is a need for 'em.

In answer to your question CMC, yes. To me, it's pretty obvious that the straps should be moved to the next level up when they have to go up and over the shoulders and down on the front on your kid. :ohwell: But I have a keen sense of awareness/attention to detail about that stuff to notice it and changed them when I did. But see, I'm the person who, when I get stuff like that (not my digi-cam, though :blushing:) I read ALL the instructions -- twice (not just the ones for my kid's age/weight. When I was preggers, I read the entire "what to expect when expecting" book in a week ... not just what to expect the first week/month or the time I was currently in. I am impatient like that and hate 'waiting' to find out the good stuff. :ohwell:

Where did all these little balls of fur come from

Ok...ahem....so everyone should read their carseat manuals before using them and every so often reread them to make sure it is still being adjusted and used properly. Each person has a different degree of mechanical and spacial abilities, so to be sure that your doing everything the right way, read the directions.

It's true - but for the safety of the innocent children who are stuck with retarded parents it's nice that these carseat checkpoints are available.

Said so eloquently! :lmao:
