AndyMarquisLIVE & itsbob - I do not care about your post, you do not own an iPhone so I am ignoring your post I wish you would stay away from this. If you have something to say about this response, PM me directly with your concerns.
No, but I do own a universal GSM Blackberry and a universal unlocked GSM Motorola Razr, so I know a lot about cell phones and their providers. You should take my advice into account instead of spouting waste out of your piehole.

You're welcome,
Andy

I do not own an iPhone, but my sister-in-law does. It is more of a toy and she complains about the service in fringe areas (off the beaten path of major thoroughfares). It is really more of an issue with the carrier, not the phone. In the city it works GREAT!

Pulled from other post:
As I said in the other tread - my sis-in-law has the iPhone - no Mac to go with it and she likes it as long as she has coverage. In non-fringe areas it blows; no coverage/no service. She does not get off the beaten path (major highways and small towns) that often so for her it is a non-issue.

When we were all back home at her parents over the holidays she had no coverage (50 miles south of Pittsburgh), so she had an expensive MP3/electronic organizer! Her cousins were thrilled to see the expensive iPhone that did not work up there!

clevalley, normally where is your sister-in-law at? When you say off the beaten path; do you mean she is off of 95 or like roads off of Budds Creek Rd.

I didn't have service with verizion on that section of the Highway also, inbetween Morgantown (10 mins north) till about Washington, PA and it would lose service here and there on the highway.

I do understand that this is a public forum but I don't care what itsbob did at Lowes and Giant with his kids...

That's just MEAM.. bad krama for you!

BTW do you know if it's supposed to SMOW today? I really hope it doesn't get much colder out, yanno what I mean?

I should probably check around and see if anyone here has an iPhone I can borrow so i can call John Deere. They are supposed to be coming and picking up our tractor, but they haven't come and got it yet. Do you have a tractor? Is it Apple or Mac compatible? My tractor is Green, you'd think that would be APple compatible, but it's not.. who'd a thought, yanno?

I think my next tractor is going to be a Kubota, do you have a Kubota? How's the reception with your Kubota where you live?

Hey Bob. How are the kids doing? Have they had this nasty stomach bug that's going around? Bith of my kids had it twice. My daughter puked in the hall at school, and then the next week she puked in the classroom. :roflmao:

They made it to the toilet to puke at home, though. That's much better. My wife has had it, too. I haven't had it yet, but it has to be a matter of time. :ohwell:

I wanted to lose some weight anyway, and puking will definitely do that. :yay:

Oh, and I have a Motorola RAZR. Reception is pretty good. And I got it for free. Are iphones free?

Aren't Kubotas orange?

I like the blue Ford tractors myself. Man if I had some flames painted on one of those and put some spinners on it that would rock. I wouldn't need an IPhone to be cool.

IF you do not own an iPhone...
Please do not reply to this post
Sorry for the a-holeness but my other post asking about I phone service turned into a 2 pages long debate on who owned what tower. I do not care what tower is owned by who or where it is at.
End of rant.

How well does your iPhone work in Southern MD?

Where is there a dead spot at?

I live in Piney Point, How is the coverage out there? How about in the the Ranch Club, I have family that lives there.

Yes - running 68 from Keisers Ridge to Morgantown is spotty for any carrier...

From Morgantown to 70/near Washington sucks as well... this is the beaten path I am talking about - and yes, considerable distance off of 95 / 301, major arteries.

Normally, SIL does not head down to Lexington Park / Leonardtown / 234... she lives in Hughesville and works in Waldorf... it works great in those areas.

I know when we run towards PA (70 and 68) towards Uniontown/Brownsville area she will drop her iPhone, but her Verizon phone will stay up...

It is not the phone, the carrier - the phone is great but they locked into a carrier which IMO is not as prevalent as Verizon wireless.

Talking to my brother-in-law (her husband) he says "her iPhone is like my nextel (for work) - as long as I am in a major city/town I am fine, but when I am traveling on the road between towns I rely on my Verizon phone."

About the comments from others and CAPS - the more 'ya holler, the more salt gets rubbed into the wound! :howdy: We all got :smack: at first...

There's something going around.

I love my Samsung SCH-U540. The great thing is having the miniSD card. I can preload music and pictures on it without having to sync (like the iPhone) and just listen/view 'em right off my phone.

I wonder if I can get a New England Patriots iPhone, like the old John Deere football tractors.. THOSE were cool.

Anyone know what's going on with VErizon today?

I'm sitting here watching Ice Age with my sick little one.. for the THIRD time..

I bet he wouldn't have got sick if I had an iPhone.

:yay: - I like this part with mine!

I have had GREAT luck with the LG's and they have not let me down - well, until I hit the brakes in my old Durango and one went in a big cup of water in my console  - It didn't like that to well as it was turned on!

I broke my Samsung several months ago (accidently of course). Actually, moving computers around, it fell out of my pocket and some :dork: put a file cabinet on top of it WITHOUT seeing the damn thing there (how do you miss a cell phone). I haven't replaced it and it still works. :yay:

I've had a Samsung phone before and they're the only brand I'll buy from anymore. Motorola and Nokia suck. :loser:

Save the Tatas!!!
You know it felt so good today when all of the Verizon Wireless customers were coming and asking me "Mr. iPhone / AT&T User" if my phone was working and if they could use it.

The funny thing was they were trying to cal other Verizon Wireless customers and could reach them. Since Verizon was down all afternoon it makes me feel good about my iPhone. At least until it happens to me next week. Ha.
