iPhone users where are you at?

Yes - running 68 from Keisers Ridge to Morgantown is spotty for any carrier...

From Morgantown to 70/near Washington sucks as well... this is the beaten path I am talking about - and yes, considerable distance off of 95 / 301, major arteries.

Normally, SIL does not head down to Lexington Park / Leonardtown / 234... she lives in Hughesville and works in Waldorf... it works great in those areas.

I know when we run towards PA (70 and 68) towards Uniontown/Brownsville area she will drop her iPhone, but her Verizon phone will stay up...

It is not the phone, the carrier - the phone is great but they locked into a carrier which IMO is not as prevalent as Verizon wireless.

Talking to my brother-in-law (her husband) he says "her iPhone is like my nextel (for work) - as long as I am in a major city/town I am fine, but when I am traveling on the road between towns I rely on my Verizon phone."

Thank you for the reply.

You know it felt so good today when all of the Verizon Wireless customers were coming and asking me "Mr. iPhone / AT&T User" if my phone was working and if they could use it.

The funny thing was they were trying to cal other Verizon Wireless customers and could reach them. Since Verizon was down all afternoon it makes me feel good about my iPhone. At least until it happens to me next week. Ha.

 - it happens to all of us! I was not affected by it though...

If I were you, I would have said (handing the phone off to others) - 'Can you hear me now!' :snort:

1. At $599, it is ridiculously expensive. (Add in the cost of an AT&T contract and you get close to $1500)

2. Those who want to buy one must sell their soul to evil mega-corporation AT&T.

3. Japan already has technologically superior phones, and they’re far cheaper.

4. Slower internet than the commercials show: “The data experience is going to be very slow. If you’re on a cellular network, [using the Internet] is going to be very slow.”

5. Initial reports indicate that YouTube is slow and crappy using cellular network internet/EDGE. It’s nothing like in the commercials.

6. You cannot remove its battery. Thanks for replicating one of the biggest complaints about the ipod, Apple!

7. The glass touch screen of the iPhone guarantees that thousands of customers who drop their phones will have cracked screens.

8. The touchscreen keyboard sucks, according to those who have used the phone.

9. It can’t send MMS picture messages.

10. The camera has little or no options, and the pictures it takes aren’t very good.

11. It lacks proper support for Flash websites. So much for the internet.

12. It can’t record video.

13. “Pinching” pictures to zoom might look neat in commercials, but many reviewers are saying it actually sucks.

14. It lacks 3G high-speed data transfer.

15. No songs as ringtones.

16. No GPS.

17. It doesn’t work under 64-bit Windows XP / Windows Vista!!!!!!! Thanks for not including that in your Windows System Requirements, Apple!

18. It only allows for a maximum of 1 picture to be attached to each e-mail you send.

19. It doesn’t have a file browser/organizer.

20. Its default ringtones suck.

21. You can not save documents on it: documents can only be viewed as attachments when they’re sent to your e-mail address.

22. No games!!

23. Its “quick list” dialing sucks compared to traditional speed dialing, which it lacks..

24. Long activation waits: many new iPhone users are reporting that they are being told to wait hours or even days to activate service for their phone. Thanks, AT&T!

25. Heat issues: the iPhone can get very hot when it is in use.
26. Deceptive Ads: Apple has been using models with gigantic hands in their advertisements for the iPhone in an effort to trick consumers into believing it is more compact.

27. Many of the positive press reports about the iPhone are influenced by newspapers and TV networks that simply want to profit from the hypefest, or even worse, reporters who are looking to sell books about the iPhone.

28. It creates incredibly annoying iPhone fanboys.

You should have done your Research before you make your post. It makes your entire rant seem pointless and incredible. The iPhone is only $399.00 not $599.00 as you mentioned.

:smack:

I found it on google, and I was bored at the time :dork:

And correct me if im wrong but wasn’t the release price of the iphone 599. And out of 28 things the only thing you find wrong is the price.

And as for verizon the only time I have ever had a problem was the other day when practically the entire network went down.

I have a LG chocolate vx-8550, I have GPS, MP3 capability, video, camera, games, I even have a copy of superbad on my SD card, and if I ever need the net im rarely far from a computer. SO my $75 phone can do some things your phone does and some things it can’t, I don’t own an ipod because they are way over priced, considering I paid 100 shipped for an 80g zune of buy.com.

Its preference I could give a flying #### if your iphone wiped your ass, all I know is im fine with my phone that can make calls and do a few more things and I still have 200 left over after paying for my phone and an MP3 player.

IF you do not own an iPhone...
Please do not reply to this post
Sorry for the a-holeness but my other post asking about I phone service turned into a 2 pages long debate on who owned what tower. I do not care what tower is owned by who or where it is at.
End of rant.

How well does your iPhone work in Southern MD?

Where is there a dead spot at?

I live in Piney Point, How is the coverage out there? How about in the the Ranch Club, I have family that lives there.

Did you end up getting one? If you posted that you did, I missed it.

ONLY $399?? eNV is only $79 and my small informal poll says it's a MUCH better, more preferred phone.. Touch screen is a nice touch, but in the end it's still just a PHONE!!

We had maybe 12 phones at lunch today.. and just looking around the table, there were 7 or 8 ENV's.. I think that's a hell of a number considering how many phones there are to chose from.. 3/4 were of one type and model..

You're a LOON :)
I have a Verizon ENV, it's a lot like an iPhone, except the touch screen, and the internet access.. and it's not too compatible with APPLE's or MAC's.

But did I tell you we went shopping today, yep, we went to LOWE's, they didn't have any iPhones, but they had these AWESOME shelves. We bought two of them. THey don't have touch screens, and aren't compatible with APPLE's or MAC's either, but what they do do, they do very well.

Then my son met us at the Giant parking lot.. I don't know what kind of phone he has, but I doubt it's an iPhone as he's on my Verixon plan, and last I knew iPhones weren't compatible with VErizon but he's a smart kid so maybe he found a way for them to work on Verizon.

My other kids (I have 5) all have cell phones too, should I call them and see if they have an iPhone? Oh wait,, not all of my kids have cell phones, Nicholas, he's damn cute, woudl you like to see a picture.. he's only two.. he doesn't have a cell phone, but if he COULD have a cell phone I'm thinking it would be an iPhone.. WAIT, this just in.. my two year old DOES have a cell phone, I forgot last year, after I went swimming with My OLD cell phone, I gave it to him.. now he sites in the living room and talks to us on his cell phone, he's so damn cute.. would you like a picture.. I may be able to get one with him talking on an iPhone if you like.

Anyways.. there I was, low crawling through the mud, it was stinky stagnant mud, and well I was happy, if only I was a pig, I could say "I was happier than a pig in a mudpile".. but I'm not a pig, but I was happy..

That's just MEAM.. bad krama for you!

BTW do you know if it's supposed to SMOW today? I really hope it doesn't get much colder out, yanno what I mean?

I should probably check around and see if anyone here has an iPhone I can borrow so i can call John Deere. They are supposed to be coming and picking up our tractor, but they haven't come and got it yet. Do you have a tractor? Is it Apple or Mac compatible? My tractor is Green, you'd think that would be APple compatible, but it's not.. who'd a thought, yanno?

I think my next tractor is going to be a Kubota, do you have a Kubota? How's the reception with your Kubota where you live?

Hey Bob. How are the kids doing? Have they had this nasty stomach bug that's going around? Bith of my kids had it twice. My daughter puked in the hall at school, and then the next week she puked in the classroom. :roflmao:

They made it to the toilet to puke at home, though. That's much better. My wife has had it, too. I haven't had it yet, but it has to be a matter of time. :ohwell:

I wanted to lose some weight anyway, and puking will definitely do that. :yay:

Oh, and I have a Motorola RAZR. Reception is pretty good. And I got it for free. Are iphones free?

Aren't Kubotas orange?

I like the blue Ford tractors myself. Man if I had some flames painted on one of those and put some spinners on it that would rock. I wouldn't need an IPhone to be cool.

:lmao: :lmao: You guys crack me up :)

I love my iPhone, when my razr was destroyed I decided to get an iPhone since a new razr was going to cost me $260 I decided to pay the difference and get an iPhone for $399 and it was worth it IMO

I wanted an iPhone until I read this thread :ohwell:

I don't want to become an uptight azzhole so I'll stick to phones under $100. :yay:

SO with the internet included (I can't imagine why anyone would want an iPhone if they didn't have internet) how much is your monthly service fee??

And you can love your iPhone all you want, but at the end of the day, we know all your iPhone owners are still ENVious..

My cell phone bill will be between $50-$60. I've only had it since last night but so far I am LOVING it. I wasn't interested in one before I got it. Now that I know most of the things it'll do, I am glad I have it!

I don't have AT&T, it doesn't work here.

But $50 - 60 a month to include internet (data plan) access?

Or does the iPhone not capable of browsing the internet?

Hubby said it will include internet access. I was surfing the web last night using it. :yay:

I just talked to someone (at lunch yesterday?) that got the Voyager. Once the 'coolness' of the touchscreen wore off, they realized they paid a lot of money for an ENV..

That and the touchscreen would make a lot of accidental calls.

If that's the case, that's the first impressive thing I've heard..

Verizon is an additional $45 a month for internet access.

My current plan was around $30-$35. The iPhone is an additional $20/month. That includes 200 text messages a month.
