Is Jesus a black man?

I SAID IT YES I DID !
Solomon's declaration, I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem' (Sol, I, 5), is often cited as referring to Christ. According to the bible itself, then, Jesus Christ was a black man. Let us suppose that at some future time he makes his second advent to the earth, as some Christians anticipate he will do, and that he comes in the character of a sable messiah, how would he be received by our Negro hating Christians of sensitive olfactory nerves. Would they worship a Negro God?

Wow, ignorant race- and religion-baiting all in one post. I'm impressed!!

Jesus is God. His earthy heritage is Jewish. Jews are not black. They are considered olive skinned.

:lmao:

Olive skinned? Olives are green and black, no? Ethiopian jews are olive skinned? Have you been drinking that 151? And it's earthly, not earthy.

Another king James mistranslation. First, Solomon is speaking of himself not Christ and second the word is best translated as "dark" as in tanned, not black. He goes on to say that he is dark because his step brother's were angry at him and made him take care of their vineyards so he was in the sun for a time and got tanned. If he was a black man, his being out in the sun would have little relevance in this verse. CONTEXT folks! You can't, rightly, pull out a verse and make it say what you want it to.
And God is not a man He is a Spirit, so he has no race affiliation. You should not go and run with a misinterpretation. That's how heresies propagate.

Let's turn the question around... What if, that at some future time, He makes his second advent to the earth, as some Christians anticipate he will do, and that he comes in the character of a sable messiah, how would he be received by our White hating Christians of sensitive olfactory nerves. Would they worship a White God?

Yup... question looks equally ridiculous.

There is plenty of heresy on both sides of the race field already being propagated. Plenty of white racists that demand that Jesus is white and plenty of black racists demanding that Jesus is black. I’m quite sure Jesus is on His throne saying “You people are fixated on the wrong things”.

Glad we got that cleared up. Jesus, who is God, is a white colored spirit with a tan.

Sammy Davis JR was "Olive Skinned"??

In 1954 he almost died in a car accident where he lost his left eye. While in the hospital, his friend Eddie Cantor enlightened him on the similarities between the Jewish and black cultures. Davis converted to Judaism after reading Paul Johnson's A History of the Jews in the hospital.

Earthy and earthly are equally correct. One form is older than the other. The Hebrews are THE Jews. They are olive skinned - denoting shades of medium toned white skin with small hints of yellow and green. Any nationality can be Jewish by religion. Only Hebrews are Jewish by heritage.
