You should switch. It sounds like you're starving your body which will cause it turn anything it can to fat.

I lifted for a few years when I was younger, but I had to give it up due to time restraints. Now, I only lift twice a week since between my long hours at work, my car club, and my worsening personal life (gotta love roommates)- I don't have a whole lot of time. I need to get back into it, start eating more of my food's food, and drop my caffeine intake.

The only way I can gain any weight at all, is to lift. Hopefully, things will calm down at home soon, I'll get some stuff finished and I'll be able to devote more time to lifting and possibly start MA training again. Of course, that just may be a "pipe dream."
The running keeps my the body fat down, but I have to change my diet to lose all the body fat and keep the muscle. Got some advice on diet and I'm going to try smaller and more meals during the day consisting of things like energy bars and drinks, fruit, etc.

And to my MKB - in fact I have lost a few more pounds. So ha ha, Chubby.

Good for you!!! I'm trying (and not trying) too. I've lost 10 lbs, but have about 20 to go to be where I was when I got married 4 years ago. Started taking Pilates over in Solomons, it's a really neat place and there's a diverse group of women so you don't feel uncomfortable. PLUS it's only once a week so it's really manageable, each week you add 4 more exercises and then she e-mails them to you the next day to do at home. Anyone have any interest?
