:bs: I don't know any doctor that would tie someones tubes at the age of 25.

Just because you don't know a doc that will do it, doesn't mean there aren't any. She's got 3 kids already.

I had a tubal at about the same age.

 I was going to respond with something along those lines last night...I'd have been the first response. BUT I was thinking I shouldn't joke about something like that. Guess I should have just gone with my gut, huh?

yeah yeah
The IVF- even if you do the share program, can cost just as much as 12k. It depends on how many eggs are retrieved, along with how many are fertalized and put back. Not to mention all the progesterone shots, and the other B12 and hormonal shots that are involved WAY before the "egg meets sperm" process is done. Also you have to think about the banking costs. Also- have you found out if your husband is infertile? you could have to go the ICSI route if that is the case? There is alot of testing that will need to be done before the IVF procedure is even done.

I do know all of this... I can have children my husband is fertile.. I was told I have alot of "good eggs" from the sono they did on Sat.. They are thinking they can get about 30 from me... I was not told about the B12 shot( so see you just told me something new) If i go though this it's going to be a long road that I do know... Thanks for the info.. :) I was also told my med's are coverd though Ins.( because it can cost up to 5,000.00)

God Bless you and your family if you going though IVF now..

We are not going through IVF now, almost had to go that route. But, you really want to check your insurance. Because I was told mine covered it- and BAM- when I was actually going through all the fertility testing- I got slammed with bills galore. After I was told it was covered- I found it wasnt. Certain tests, like checking your progesterone levels (P4 levels), and other such tests as the LH surges, and hcg trigger levels, were not covered. Just make sure to check EVERYTHING. Another couple I know, who is now pregnant with twins through IVF- was told all their meds were covered- and come to find out- only the first fill of the rx's were- and they needed a total of 4 for the entire process (thankfully they got pregnant on the first try). They were 8k in with just meds- and she even went through a "discount" company when they found out what their pharmacy was going to charge.

Shady Grove should be able to give you a list, or explain to you in depth ALL of the tests, meds, etc, so that you can contact your insurance and find out. If you get ahold of someone that is good, then they will go down the list with you- and say yes, no, yes, etc with what is covered and what is not. You dont want to be taken by surprise. Have all your ducks in a row!

Also- is shady grove going to bank your eggs for you? or are you having a seperate bank? And when you do the "shared program" are you going to ask for the potenial doner recievers to take over the fee of banking? You should see if that is available. Not all places cover the banking fee's in their prices of the actual in-vitro process.
