I know stupid question, but, I have to ask....

If you have your tubes tied....how do they harvest the eggs?

I saw a show on TLC a while back about IVF and they harvested this ladies eggs thru her tubes....so, when you have your tubes tied, do they go directly into your ovaries?

Also, they only got 8 viable eggs....how do they get 30 like Lovingmommy has?

I find it highly doubtful that Loving mommy 30 ripe eggs for transfer. The only thing she could have is has 30 follies, not 30 viable eggs. Whomever told her that there are 30 viable eggs is full of crap! They said 30 probably, because they could produce into 30, by the time of retrevial. But by the time of retrevial- they would have to have some triggers, along with other helps- because there is NO WAY they could get that many- that are viable. PERIOD.

And I would assume they would go directly into the ovaries- rather than through the tubes- but I am NOT SURE in the least. I havent ever heard of them doing IVF retrevial after a tubal.

In order to get eggs harvested don't you have to go thru some kind of hormone treatments?

Normally woman release one(maybe two) eggs a month....so(I'm assuming), in order to get that many to release you have to get some massive amounts of hormones.
