DEEKAYPEE have you looked at other options for intakes from Volant, AEM, Injen, weapon r, etc. Not sure on all of your options. From what I could see when I Googler images of the intake it looks like the filter sits right next to the engine. Not good as a CAI, on a true CAI the filter is usually relocated inside the fender well. Of course they give you a huge metal pipe to run from the filter to the throttle body, nothing like a metal tube to soak all that extra engine heat.

I attached some pics of what I did on my truck, the first one is the airbox cover that I gutted and opened up, took about 20 min with a dremel, the second is of the second mock up I did, this is the one I still have today just painted. The third picture is after I gutted the resonator that goes between the filter tube, and throttle body, it also covers the coil packs for aesthetic purposes. Not fancy, but it works.

Yeah, you can't get into any more trouble with a 1.4T-powered Cruze than a 1.8-powered Cruze. They are both fairly slow. Our Subaru Legacy GT is much quicker, but it does have 112 hp more. :nerd:

1975 Chevy 1 ton PU with a 292 I6 running on 5 cylinders ........

OP, it's your money. Don't expect to gain the type of horsepower increase they Manufacturer's website claims but you will feel a difference. Also the engine will be noisier on acceleration. If there was no market for cold air intakes on a 4 cylinder Cruz, K&N certainly wouldn't be making one.

I don't expect to go from bone stock HP to running 10's. I just thought about tinkering on a basic basic; albeit somewhat pricey; level. Yeah, the expense might outweigh the results, but it's not something that can't be undone.
