If you recall, when the "grab 'em by the pussy, and they let you" tape came out, Pence and everyone said, "whoa, dude, that's a bridge too far" and were exceptionally critical of him. No one supported that. The whole "locker room talk" defense was no defense at all from the people making it, they were simply acknowledging the existence of ***s who talk like that. What we, as Americans, said that November was "we don't care if he's an *** if he does his job."
Truthfully I'd trust a New Yorker that talks like a stereotypical New Yorker much more than I would a smooth talking New Yorker.

Imagine caring this much about what consenting adults are doing lmao

I don't care what consenting adults do, but when others start accepting it
Agreed. But that’s not what I was referencing. I was referring to all the homosexuality and bisexuality and monogamy talk. I 100% agree that we should expect our congresswomen (and congressmen) to be “more circumspect.” The conversation immediately strayed away from that and towards an obsession with what consenting adults do on their free time, and that’s why I commented what I did.

Next time, I expect you to be a better mind reader when I’m not clear on what I’m posting.

I don't care what they do, it's the acceptance of it by people like you that is rotting the fabric of this country.
That's my opinion, but if you think it's all cool Git'er done, join the fun.

She needed to lose her job. I mean let's face it, if it had been some lesser transgression then the Democrats could have dismissed it. You know like putting classified information on a personal server.

No, I just don't care what consenting adults are doing nor do I see any need to try and control others behavior when it isn't affecting me in any way whatsoever.

I understand the biblethumpers being upset about gay "marriage." That is an argument I can comprehend. But caring about the behavior itself? Oh please. It's just like a nosy neighbor...

Even if they're violating campaign finance law?

That’s not what I’m referring to. If you look at my last couple posts, you’ll see I’m speaking about homosexuality/bisexuality/non monogamous behavior.

Of course I have an issue with someone violating campaign finance law.

Must be great not to be effected by decadence.
The Romans thought so too.

Just so we're clear, you're referencing one of (if not the) greatest and most successful civilizations as why sexual "deviation" is bad? The one that lasted well over a thousand years and had rampant homosexuality through its entirety?

This is kinda like saying "Must be great to not realize the dangers of investing in stocks. Warren Buffett didn't realize those dangers either."

To further address the re directing of the narrative I present this:
1) The MSM is trying to frame this as incident as a conservative attack using revenge porn as the weapon of choice.

2) This same MSM that bristled at the mention of data mining tweets of (MSM) journalists is calling for an all out doxxing assault on the reporter that broke this story. Their rationale? The original article appeared in RedState which is a conservative news outlet, or as they call it; a propaganda machine.

3) The RedState article, written by a woman by the way, only included 3 pictures, none of which was the bong/tat pic or the one of her laying out nude. Those pics were on reddit.

Those pics were on reddit.

Because that's how it all started. Hill's husband supposedly leaked the pictures to a Reddit wife-swapping page after going through a nasty separation.

I haven't seen anyone saying it's a conservative problem, thought some ill-informed folks may make that connection, but I have seen folks say this is an invasion of privacy and likely runs afoul "revenge porn" laws in some states. CA definitely has those laws and I believe that's where she lives. I've also seen some folks say this is a uniquely millennial thing. Someone who has grown up with increasing social media presence and electronic lifestyles is bound to have these problems. The geriatric folks currently in Washington don't have this problem supposedly (unless you're Anthony Weiner, but he's not really that old).

Jill Flipovic from CNN, VOX and CNN are questioning journalistic integrity of the original article since it came from a conservative site. Ms. Hill herself said in her resignation video that she was the victim of an attack from conservatives and that her privacy was invaded by Red State and Jen Van Laar. Any allegations of revenge porn should not be directed to Ms. Van Laar or RedState since those photos were readily available on the internet. Flipovic is sour that the sources of the photos are not readily available and feels that a congressional investigation is in order to discover who posted the photos originally.

That’s where [we] are folks. You can find actual pornography on Twitter, but apparently you can’t make fun of a disgraced Democratic member of the House.

Authorities “arrested Arthur Dam in connection with a hacking spree that disrupted the 2018 Democratic California primary that ultimately nominated Katie Hill,” The Intercept reported. “Dam, in the criminal complaint, is linked directly to the Hill campaign.”

Dam’s wife, Kelsey O’Hara, was Hill’s fundraiser during the her campaign and, after Hill was elected, became Hill’s district director.

“During the campaign, the websites of Hill’s opponents, Democrats Jess Phoenix and Bryan Caforio, who was supported by Justice Democrats, were both attacked, though Hill’s never was, raising suspicions at the time that Hill’s campaign was behind them,” The Intercept added. “One major attack on Caforio’s campaign website came at a crucial moment, just an hour before the biggest debate of the primary, the complaint notes. Hill eventually won the California primary by fewer than 3,000 votes.”

I thought I saw a story on Yahoo about her on the View saying they thought she shouldn't have resigned. So now this story comes out. Looks like they knew about it and tried to get ahead of it.

California Dem Katie Hill's nude photos scandal doesn't prevent her from considering another congressional run

Former Rep. Katie Hill, D-Calif., is open to running for Congress again after resigning her seat due to fallout from an inappropriate affair with a female campaign aide.

Republican Rep. Mike Garcia flipped her former seat in California's 25th Congressional District.
