I wonder if Kingzinger has his MSNBC gig lined up yet? I can see the team-up with Ginger Jen now.
However, he leaves out a lot in that misleading rant, and that’s a problem. This is why much of the left is deluded on the subject.
As we’ve reported in the past, the IG report indicated that President Donald Trump wanted to ensure that the rally he had that day was a “safe event.” On Jan. 3, he brought up the question of the National Guard for what was expected to be a large crowd.
On Jan. 2, the Capitol Police’s timeline of events shows that the Department of Defense’s Carol Corbin texted USCP Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher to determine if the Capitol Police wanted the National Guard at the Capitol. Gallagher responded to her that he was not requesting the National Guard after consultation with the Chief of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund.
So Trump made the offer/suggestion, but the Capitol Police never requested it. If they’re not requesting it, it’s not likely it’s going to be deployed. This, of course, pokes holes in the idea that somehow Trump wanted violence when, in fact, he not only thought there should be a National Guard presence but he also urged his supporters at his rally to act “peacefully and patriotically.”
As we reported according to the GOP report on Jan. 6, it was Pelosi’s staff who was working with the Capitol Police on the security for the day, contrary to her narrative that she wasn’t involved in security. It’s the Capitol Police who are responsible for the security of the Capitol, not the National Guard. And the Capitol Police rejected the offer of the National Guard.
Some on the left point to this letter from Christopher Miller about the deployment of the National Guard to suggest that somehow he/Trump incapacitated the Guard from protecting the Capitol, but the folks on the left who think that fail to understand this letter and the context. Adam Kinzinger Lies About Ray Epps Again, and We Should Probably Figure out Why
Still, there was something interesting shown in the testimony of now-infamous Ray Epps, the man who was caught on video multiple times telling people to enter the Capitol Building on January 6th. While the committee’s final report never mentions him, he apparently stated “I also orchestrated it” in relation to the events of that day.
Yet, for some reason, Adam Kinzinger rushed to social media on Sunday morning to defend Epps.

In the most predictable breaking news possible, on Wednesday evening, CNN host Erin Burnett announced on her eponymous program Erin Burnett OutFront that former anti-Trump Republican and Pelosi-picked January 6 committee member Adam Kinzinger had been hired as a "senior political commentator" on the network. This, of course, makes perfect sense because other than our friends Scott Jennings and Stephen Gutowski, Adam Kinzinger is the type of "Republican" voice thar gets a lot of airtime on CNN.
Kinzinger Busted in Shameful New Low, Selling Jan. 6 Committee Report on His PAC Website
Fox, which first reported on it, said that he removed the listing on his PAC page but the website now has the listing back up with some changes. Fox did say that it had this false claim, “The attack was the culmination of a plot organized and driven by a defeated president, attempting to remain in power through a complex web of deceit, intimidation, and violence.” But I’m not seeing that now on the listing. Fox’s Kyle Morris also said that now they changed the listing to state that “All proceeds will benefit charitable organizations working to uphold and defend democracy in America.” Likely Kinzinger was advised that he was going to have a problem with it as it was originally listed and now he’s quickly trying to backpedal to cover his posterior.
Kinzinger is not only pimping the report, he’s also selling a signed “politically homeless” hat for $60 and a signed “American Sandlot” baseball for $50. The description is hilarious.
“Our Sacred Sandlot is being threatened,” the listing reads. “That’s why we’re putting together teams of reasonable people and common-sense solutions. Become part of the solution and donate today to get an official Country First limited-edition American Sandlot baseball signed by Adam Kinzinger!”
