Agreed! I admit I am very naive about how the current "dating scene" works. In fact, I was :faint: yesterday when I learned that lots of "hook-ups" between forumites really did come about because someone would send someone else a karma saying "Do ya wanna :gossip:?" :shocking:
 I could tell you lots of things about dating now, it would probably shock you.

That was retarded thing to say. There's a big difference between buying someone a drink and having sex with them.

If you're going to talk about "Rainbow Parties", we know all about them.

God, I hope I'm not so far out of it that anything would shock me. Not because I'm interested... just because I don't want to be old.

:lalala: It's been 18 years since I've been in the dating scene... my first born is "single digits" years away from hitting the dating scene.... I don't think I wanna know... :lalala:

I didn't complain. I like to stand next to tall people. You can put your drink on my head :huggy:

I didn't mind hugging you with my nose in your belly button

I guess what I'm trying to say, is in my relationship it would never be something to even think about.

Well, my wife and I would never find ourselves in that situation either - it was just a hypothetical... And after consideration, I have determined that I have just the perfect 'jealous to secure' ratio.

dudes aren't spending money on drinks because "they got it like that." they are buying it in exchange for some sort of interest that they want you to give up...whether thats conversation, your time, your phone number, and even sex.

I don't believe guys are just buying strangers drinks "just because."

:yeahthat:

always an ulterior motive ...........

the only difference is the drink comes before the sex.

No. I think you are extremely jealous and perhaps a bit of a control freak, but that's JMHO.

Bah.

Just because I don't want to watch some guy slobber down my wife's cleavage, I'm a control freak...

Who said anything about slobbering? Slobbering would be disgusting. I wouldn't let anyone buy me a drink that was slobbering, unless it was Kwillia.

Again, I'm gonna agree with you! :jet: You describe your reactions the way I view my husband's reactions would be in same situations. I don't consider him a control freak... just protective. But that is why I chose to just go out without him on some occasions.

"control freak" may have been out of line. Protective is mucho better.
