Here's something I don't understand:

People come on the forums and promote their business because, obviously, this is a good venue with a lot of eyeballs. However they don't want to spend the measly $75 a month to get this audience (not to mention the other 70,000 readers who don't even come into the forums) legitimately.

They'll spend big $$ on radio and print, but get all sniggly when it comes to advertising where the humans are. I do not understand this.

I say you edit her post to say "Please do not eat at Laurel Grove Cheesesteaks, the owners are too cheap to pay $75 to advertise, how much do you think they skimp on the rest of their operating costs (i.e. food)."

[first] I can't believe how good Laurel Grove Cheesesteaks are. They're so big and tasty and I'll have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow and the next day. You all have to get by there and try one out. I used to live in Philly and they're better than any I ever had there. They have an ATM there and the beer is cheap, too.[post ever]

I visit this site multiple times during the day and week, Monday through Friday, seeing all the banner ads each time. I would look at the Enterprise or Southern MD section of the Post once, maybe twice. Yet if most people needed to advertise something, they'd think of the newspaper first, wouldn't they? I'd ban them, too.

I never read the paper. I throw out the pennysaver without so much as a glance. When I flip through channels, I can't get past channel 10 fast enough. The only place I see ad's is here and billboards, and I refuse to go to an establishment that steals time. I dont care how good their food is.
