Yeah, that too.I thought it was a computer simulation?
Yeah, that too.I thought it was a computer simulation?
Nah, as stated in an historic movie -I thought it was a computer simulation?
"our whole solar system could be like one tiny atom in the fingernail of some other giant being"
Oh that's right.Nah, as stated in an historic movie -
Won't Einstein and Hawking feel stupid if the stoners had the answer all along?Nah, as stated in an historic movie -
Nah, when you die they move you to another atom, so they won't know.Won't Einstein and Hawking feel stupid if the stoners had the answer all along?![]()
So if they did something you don't agree with would you just keep quiet?I'm not critical of DOGE because...I agree with it. I WANT it. I VOTED for it. That it makes little proggies cry is just a bonus. Honestly it never occurred to me that would be the hill Democrats want to die on.
DOGE has firmly cemented Democrats as the Party of waste, fraud, and abuse. Also the Party of violence and domestic terrorism. They - not just Dembot voters, but Dembot elected officials - openly cheer for this on camera and in their own words on social media.
Conservatives telling them they need to stop - yeah, STFU with that, you pantywaists. Let them show the world what they are, particularly American voters. Let them be the Party of terrorism and theft. Force them to run on that and stop giving them advice. They're doing just fine peachy keen.
We are on a giant cat's collar.I thought it was a computer simulation?
YUGE presumption there...So if they did something you don't agree with would you just keep quiet?
What I see is a company CEO who has contracts with the USG being able to directly affect government agencies due to their appointment and relationship with the President of the USA. Take any political affiliation out of the equation.
It just looks bad. No matter what letter is at the end of their name. If you don't see that... well, I can't help you.
When it comes to the highest political office in the land, perception IS reality. I don't like palms getting greased just like everyone else. I do think the job of rooting out wasteful spending is essential BUT, regardless of political affiliation... putting someone in the position of finding that waste and offering solutions/decisions to the President SHOULD NOT be the same person/people that hold a financial stake with said Government. AT...ALL.Again, you seem concerned that the possibility is there. And I agree, it should be watched. Not because I think he will self deal, but because it needs to be easily provable that he didn't. Which is why I asked about the FCC rural broadband issue. Everyone that follows the issue knows damn well that the FCC used old data as they admitted itand refused to even consider newer data when the decision was appealed. Is fixing that self dealing?
Who else could do this job, however?
And whom would that be? Doesn't every citizen have a financial stake as to the spending of our tax dollars?literally ANYONE who does not have a financial stake in the decision making process

As for who else could do the job.... Which one? If it is the Space job, it is Elon 100%. If it is the DOGE job... literally ANYONE who does not have a financial stake in the decision making process AND can deal with the numbers. Someone completely independent.
Well, since you haven't offered up ANYONE...If it is the DOGE job... literally ANYONE who does not have a financial stake in the decision making process AND can deal with the numbers. Someone completely independent.
You are correct however, not every person has the potential to benefit to the tune of MILLIONS or BILLIONS of dollars. And whom would that be? Doesn't every citizen have a financial stake as to the spending of our tax dollars?![]()

If I knew the answer to our country's issues and knew the exact correct measures to take, I would be doing it instead of arguing with internet strangers... just like you are.Well, since you haven't offered up ANYONE...
It looks like Elon is the only choice, because so far, he's the only one who has shown he can gut a powerful company's (Twitter) waste & weed out it's Unamerican Activities and rebuild that company into something more trustworthy...and profitable....
Unless you know someone who might be a better choice?...Maybe Soros?...or Harpo?
Except you seem to be glossing over that Musk and his personal endeavors would more than likely benefit at a greater level then if he wasn't involved at all.You are correct however, not every person has the potential to benefit to the tune of MILLIONS or BILLIONS of dollars.
Is the solution easy? Nope. Is anything going to change? Likely NOT. But, that doesn't mean it looks good either.

They really do live in an alternate reality. They said that about Trump, too. "Oh, Trump is getting rich being President!!" No, dumbass, Trump actually LOST money being President. Freaking Obama got rich being President, and Biden's whole freaking family got rich off his political office, but they don't want to bitch about that - they just want to bitch about the guy who lost money and didn't take a salary.
Trying to have discussions with ignorant brainwashed cultists is an exercise in futility.
