Local Firefighter Lost

Sneakers

Just sneakin' around....
There was an article on one of the local web news sites saying he fell thru the floor, but at that time it said 'life threatening' injuries.

So sorry.

It's such a tragedy. :bawl:

Thing2 (Career FF/EMS and Volunteer) and I have been texting back & forth over it all day. He always reconnects with me when things like this happen. It's his job and he's highly trained for it, but still - it does affect you.

Neighbor used to work to Pax River Fire Dept before he got sick and had to leave. Will have to ask him if he knew the guy. Husband's uncle was a firefighter and a similar thing happened but by some miracle, he survived.

I hope people will respect the family's privacy and not announce it on any social media until it is made public by Pax River. once it is public the entire media will be upon them. I know I wouldn't want that to happen to me if it were my son.

If anyone will, it would be the wife of this guy. She constantly needs attention from others. She literally would drag her dying mom and husband out for photo shoots at the Solomons pier just to post to FB about how bad they were doing and they need our prayers. Sadly the mom passed which created all new sympathy posts for years and years. Luckily the husband got surgery and made a full recovery.

He was honored in Leonardtown today. Flag was erected between two firetrucks, firemen out on the road and lots of firetrucks and their other various vehicles with their flashing lights on. Traffic snarled up both directions all the way back to shortly before Fairgrounds Road. I pulled over and got out of my car, as did a few others. Pretty touching.

Fairgrounds? I saw the video of the procession coming off Rt. 5 onto Hollywood Rd and the flag draped over the road right before Brinsfield.

Traffic coming into Leonardtown on Route 5 north backed up because they couldn't go through the intersection by the college. I assume the poster meant Fairgrounds Rd by the fairgrounds and the middle and high school.

I'm sorry not Fairgrounds, St Andrews Church Road and not moving. I was going the opposite direction sometime after 4:30ish. The firetrucks that I saw were coming off Route 5 (southbound) and turning onto the road that passes Brinsfield. Where's Hollywood Road?

Hollywood Road is the road that passes in front of Brinsfield (Rt. 245) (1st image) and goes all the way to Rt. 235 in Hollywood. (2nd image)
