Mine loves to help pick pea pods from the garden and eats 'em like they are going out of style... she's pizzed pea season is over...:ohwell:

She loves lettuce too... but only if it has ranch dressing on it...
Mine is such a picky eater it isn't funny.

Won't touch peas, carrots only to crack them open to see if there is something else. No seafood, spits that back out like a champ. Might eat corn, has a hard time understanding how we eat it off the cob. I crack up when we eat that way, she just watches and turns that head over to the side.

Wont eat puppy ice cream, turns her nose up to that.

Here is a classic example of the cost of a Pet, and Emergency Care. My Dog Molly (R.I.P.), was in great health one minute, and Dead the next. LITTERALLY. She came in from her daily Jog on the Beach, and made a throat clearing sound. I saw blood. Scooped her up, and rushed her to the Vet. Here is exactly what they did for her. Wrote me a Prescription for Carafate, to stop the bleeding. They didn't have any on hand. They took an X-Ray which showed she had Cancer from her Throat, to her Anus. Keep in mind, her appetite was GREAT, and she showed NO outward signs of anything being wrong with her until then. I looked at the X-Ray, and made the decision to euthanize her. The next day, my Husband went in to settle up the Bill, because I was so upset, that I just walked out of there. The Bill for that little bit of stuff, came up to $629.42, and I didn't have a Dog to show for it. Animals cost some serious money, but to me, it's money well spent, if you have a Healthy Dog, and Happy Dog. I have a lot of Pets, and most of my Pay Check is spent on getting the best of everything that I can. That is no exaggeration either.
I can't imagine. :huggy: The vet told me six months ago that my pup is now considered a senior. I cry just thinking about ever losing him. :frown:

I've been relentlessly searching for puppies, I have searched through all the animal shelters and pet finders, but the puppies they have are either too expensive to adopt, or they're too far away. I'm hoping to get in touch with someone who has an upcoming litter or a new litter of puppies (under 14 weeks) for free, or at least under 100 dollars. I'd prefer pit bull pups, but any breed will be taken into consideration. Or if you have any info on where I could go to look, it would be appreciated. Thank you :)

Im glad that you want to give an animal a home, but if you are not able to afford the costs up front, you should wait uintil you are financially stable before you get an animal. Believe me, animals get sick and vet bills are not cheap. I have also seen too many animals loose their homes from people who could not afford to take care of them.

Im thinking the same thing since it doesnt look like she has posted anything else. I dont think anyone on here was being mean to her. Hopefully she listens and waits til she is financially stable to get a pet. :buddies:

We really are not being mean at all. It would be a shame for someone to get a new pet, then the pet doesn't get all the vet care it should have due to tight budget constraints.

Some things like flea/tick/heart-worm preventative, de-worming, and vaccinations are not extra's, they are essential to minimal care. They cost more than people realize.
