Looking for Boxer breeder in area

ICit

Jam out with ur clam out
I know of one that was dumped along the side of the road recently. :frown:

A friend took the little cutie in, paid for the 5 days in intensive care, then fed him another couple of weeks on lamb and rice jarred infant food until his intestines could handle something else and now he's going to be fine. :yay:

:jet:

wtf ... poor thing... what did he have?

glad to hear he is doing well! and he lived thru it!! :yahoo:

I do know that was not a pretty vet bill... :huggy:

There was a 'local' breeder who had a fairly successful 'designer' breed that he had been marketing to LEO's. Good dogs. Problem was, he didn't know how to run a kennel facility. They wound up loosing several litters and a couple adults, and boarded CLIENT dogs, to a Parvo outbreak. They wound up being shut down. I think it was 30 something dogs and pups...

Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize. Parvo loves filth. It doesn't take much to keep it at bay, just some bleach and a scrubbin' every day....

Luckily her neice works at the vet clinic so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Puppers is definately a sweetie and fits in with the rest of her pack of misfits

Um...easier than that...VACCINATE. Had the client's dogs been vaccinated and the facility required proof of vaccination for boarding, they prolly would have been fine.

I don't see how something like that could "shut down" a boarding facilty for dogs/cats, who would have the authority to "shut it down"? I've never boarded so i don't know who would "license" (or police) facilities like that.

The county. The state. They were a combo breeding/boarding/vet facility. They were also sentenced to jail time on animal cruelty charges for failing to follow orders to seek vet proper vet care... With a Vet on the premises!! :eek:mg:

Pet Care Associates. Dominic Donovan and Jennifer Barisano. Note, I put 'local' in quotes because they were in PA< not MD. Not local by residential standards, but lots of people will drive to PA to get a dog. :yay:
