I lost another 3 pounds. That's 9 so far. The bloat feeling is gone! Now here comes the hard part. The first 10 easy always easy. That's basically just water.

Thanks everyone! I feel great. Just taught a friend how to cook some spicy shrimp. She is not good at cooking. It was fun and healthy. :yahoo:

20 pounds from January 1 as of today. :yahoo:

I've worked carbs back in a bit more freely and have a total bender once in awhile including last Sunday when the Evil Girl Scout Monster forced THREE BOXES on me including two Samoas and a new berry something they have that is pretty good. Felt like HELL Monday.

But, right back to the meats and eggs and cheeses most of the week, a little bread, some tortillas and, man, it keeps working off, slow and steady.

Out for beer and pizza with pals to celebrate.

I have been trying a low carb diet with exercise also . Working pretty well so far . My only problem is I work 3pm to 11pm and usually stay awake to 1 am after getting home at 12 . Between 12 am & 1am i get the "munches" and it's hard to resist the fridge !

I haven't read through all the posts, so sorry if I'm repeating.

A few years ago I saw a diet advertised on one of those magazines in the checkout line. It promised more energy, etc. It turned out to be Wendy Chant's Crack the Fat Loss Code. It's a low carb Way of Eating. She's got another book called Conquer the Fat Loss Code as well that accelerates and incorporates exercise. (her first book actually tells you not to change your energy level too much).

It's all about resetting your metabolism and learning how to eat low carb for life. I agree with Larry - the carb craving went away pretty quick. (You are limited to 20 carbs TOTAL each day for the first 7 days) and when my authorized cheat day came along, there was nothing I really "wanted". It's the best I've felt in years - and I realized a few weeks in that I couldnt remember the last time I needed Tums.

Low carb definitely works. Learning when to eat carbs (early in the day) was key for me. After 7 days of watching what I ate, the diet got very easy to follow and truly does lend itself to being a way of eating rather than a diet. :)
