Nah...it ain't like that. I know I'm just above "Baldwin brother" quality at worst.
Guess that puts me at "C' level...all things considered.

However..." boom-chakalacka boom-chakalacka' is a great standby. Prolly alot more fun, too.

I watched him in Ghosts of Mississippi today, it was good.

I dug Mad Max when I first saw it, but I have trouble watching anything with Mel Gibson after he went off the deep end and made The Passion Of The Christ, one of the worst and most offensive movies I've ever had the (dis)pleasure of watching.

And people say Tom Cruise is nuts.

This is a stupid movie. I somehow managed to avoid it all these years. I wish I could still say that. :ohwell:

That’s such a testosterone flick.

But speaking of Mel, Gibson, 50, was arrested after deputies stopped his 2006 Lexus LS 430 for speeding at 2:36 a.m. Friday. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said deputies clocked him doing 87 mph in a 45 mph zone.

A breath test indicated Gibson's blood-alcohol level was 0.12 percent, Whitmore said. The legal limit in California is 0.08 percent.

Maybe I'm the lucky one: Able to seperate political beliefs form their jobs. Tom Cruise, the Scientologist? Prolly nuts. Tom Cruise, the actor. Good. :yay:

Etc, etc...

I know it's not "politically correct" to allow celebrities their own political veiws...but I always will.

Tom Cruise also has never made a movie promoting Scientology.

Of course, I didn't hate The Passion Of The Christ because it dealt with Jesus. I hated and was offended by it because it's one of the most blatantly anti-Semitic films I've ever seen. Many of my relatives are Jewish and I just couldn't stand how Gibson's film portrayed people of the Jewish faith in such a hateful, negative way. I hear when he was arrested on DUI charges he yelled hateful comments about Jewish people. Not surprised. I guess the intoxication brought all the hate to the surface.

I will allow them their political views (I can still have fun with Arnie Schwarzenegger's action movies, even if he's a Republican), but I can't accept it when actors or directors use their films as platforms to spread vicious hate, which is what Mel Gibson did.

Hopefully his next film, Apocalypto (which seems interesting), is better. I'll give up all hope if he manages to put anti-Semitism into a movie about the Mayans. lol

I have no idea what Mel said as he was arrested. I also doubt any claims that he yelled anti-semetic rants to the cops. (Until proven otherwise).

Those of Jewish faith have criticized Mel's direction of The Passion of the Christ since before the day it started shooting. Mel made no bones about it: he directed that film according to his beliefs, and according to his understanding of the story. Obviously certain poeple of the Jewish faith do not agree..as certain religions view the Jews as the ones that put Jesus to death. I (personally) am not religious...so it is of no difference to me.

It is striking how bent out of shape the overtly religious get about things...and are they are so willing to hate over them. Where as those of us that are not trapped into such boxed-in thinking, are more "live and let live types". Huh.

Oh well.

Apocalypto looks very good. Saw the preview On Demand for the first time today. I'm not sure...but am thinking it's all in that language we don't understand (no subtitles)...but I could be wrong. Either way...I'l see it. Mel doesn't produce crap. (Unless you're thinking he's "anti-semite", etc...)

And his apology for being drunk proves his "anti-semetic" comments to the LAPD how???
