Man alone in the children’s section

Personally, I shouldn't have to feel like I did something wrong, when I didn't, and I'd fight tooth and nail to prove that.

I agree with BCP. Since I have young kids, I am sensitive that as an older man, I could make someone concern about strangers in the area. Doctor Perv seems to be over reacting, which makes me think that maybe there is more going on here.

Why fight a 18 year old bookstore clerk over this? What's to gain? Why go to the media? PC is screwing this county over and I think it is being called out more to cover evil and bad actions. Whenever it is called out, my radar is up to figure out what the real reason is.

Sorry, if my kids are in the library or bookstore children section, I want the creep Zoo Doctor out of there. Thanks B&N, I think I am going to buy a kids book from them.

how are you going to do that? they wont let you in the kids book section...:killingme

10 bucks says that if you or any other male walks in and goes to the kids section and starts looking for a book for a child, they wont be asked to leave,,, I have actually done it and have never been asked to exit the area.

Something is not coming out as to why Mr Pervy was asked to leave.

I would however be upset if I was asked to leave Victoria Secrets, And yes I do know its creepy when I sit in front of the dressing room with my number cards rating the women that try things on. But I dont care.

That is pretty gutsy! In college, I had to take a few social psy. classes (a waste but it keep the liberal instructors in high paying jobs). One of our group projects (suggested by one of the girls in our group) was to watch the social interaction of people going in and out of VS and yes, there were a few creepy guys hanging around the place. It is funny, because dumb class projects like this actually make it in to newspapers as U of <put in a name> study reports....

I wonder if I still have a copy of that report?

I bet that if Doc Perv ask the store clerk to help him find a book, the conservation would have changed quickly.

I suppose that is your right
as it would be my right

but, as I said, I would prefer being put in that situation over increasing the danger for children.

Its really not a black and white world we live in.
Just because I would not molest a child is not reason to think the next guy in wouldnt either.

You can insult me all you want if the end product is improved safety for the kids.

Who's insulting you?

Unfortunately, like you said, we don't live in a black and white world, and unfortunately, kids will STILL be molested, and/or harmed.

If the store had a sign up that said, no one over 18 allowed here without company of a child, I can see that, because it's the right of the business, but they don't, and it seems like someone in the store got all high and mighty and asked to have the guy escorted out.

Wouldn't fly with me...

Over reacting? He's not even going to sue them like most Americans today feel they have the right to.

What's to gain is his indivual liberty, and RIGHT to stand where the hell he wants in that store. These rights we have are slowly erroding away, and unless we stand up for them, they will be gone...and when they go away, it's going to be tough getting them back. Like I said, there was no sign saying other wise, so until they put that sign up, I'll walk around where ever I want, and not think twice.

Should we not allow men, by themselves to buy girl scout cookies? How about the girls that walk up to your door, should that stop? The government is already shutting down bake sales, and lemonade stands because they don't comply with federal regulations, because people may get sick from non-government regulated food.

Who's to stop that from going further just to "protect" Americans?

Just because a handful of men may be creepers, is no reason to punish ALL men for those actions.

This is it in a nutshell. Heavy emphasis on the "nut". Why is this guy making such a stink over something so insignificant? Nobody accused him of anything, they just asked him to leave the children's section.

That he's made such a to-do over it and alerted the press tells me he was indeed up to no good and is now just trying to cover. You watch - we'll be hearing about him again.

How does it "punish" him by simply asking him to leave the children's section? How did that hurt him in any way?

They made him leave the store altogether...not just one section.

Even B&N said:
“We should not have done so,” Bottini said. “It is not our policy to ask customers to leave any section of our stores without justification. We value Dr. Amin as a customer and look forward to welcoming him in any of our stores.”

Imagine you get asked to leave a Men's Warehouse because you were in the tie section talking on the phone.

because the tie section is where most of the child molestions are likely to happen.

I didn't realize there were specific places criminals like to frequent...

and, like I said....should we make sure men can't buy, or come in contact with girl/boy scouts to prevent molestation?

I say we all become over sensitive liberals and in the name of political correctness we just let as many kids get molested as we possibly can.

Hey I know, lets let men use the womens bathroom,,, oh wait, y'all already want that anyway.

Or, maybe people should start minding their own business and worry about their own lives instead of being overzealous soccer moms that think everone with a weiner will molest their children....

Have you seen women's bathrooms?

Oh horsecrap. Their lawyers told them to say that.

Do you honestly believe that some B&N clerk just came out of the blue, grabbed this guy at random and told him to get out? For NO reason other than he was standing there minding his own business?

If he were smart, he'd cry racial discrimination and really cash in.

It sounds to me like some woman called in the complaint because she didn't like the way he looked. The store then proceeded to throw him out, not asking why he was there. Instead, he should have taken the phone call, and distrubed the other customers, only to have them complain?

Then, the employee said "It's our store policy"...if that's so, where is the sign?

Where does it say, men can not go into the children's book section to shop without a child?

Should we do the same thing at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, clothing stores? Where does it end?

Ah! Then there's where we're having the problem. Pedos like to frequent places where there will be...children. Preferably unattended children whose mommies feel safe in leaving them to read or play while they browse nearby.

So now you know: there are indeed specific places criminals like to frequent. :yay:

This is B&N's fault anyway. If they didn't make the children's section attractive to children, then it wouldn't draw them, which in turn draws the perverts.

I say get rid of all children's sections everywhere.

So, should we lock down everywhere so crime won't happen?

Maybe B&N should hire security to protect kids from parent who let their kids roam free in a store full of strangers,
