So, should we lock down everywhere so crime won't happen?

Maybe B&N should hire security to protect kids from parent who let their kids roam free in a store full of strangers,

Just ban kids. You can't ban perverts, obviously, because you can't tell who may and may not be one. But kids are easily recognizable as such and, therefore, easy to boot out.

and if they did hire security to watch the childrens section, people like you would claim that was wrong for some reason.

its ok that you would rather risk a child being raped just to make sure perverts are not stopped from doing their deed.. Just admit that you dont care about children and everyone will understand your position.

If the guy was looking for a book, I doubt he would have been asked to leave, there is some creepy part of this that is not being shared.
I guess the reason that he does not want to go after the store is because he does not want certain details to come out in public.

how about midgets, you might accidently ask one to leave before you realize what you did.

I suggest banning stores.

"People like me"? People that believe in individual liberty, and believe that people should have the freedom to do what they please without being cast aside because of the way they look?

Hate to break it to you, but stopping this man is not an end-all, be-all for child molestation. It will still happen, unfortunately. Just like if you ban all drugs, it'll still happen. You ban alcohol, and you guessed it, people will still drink.

You can not enforce insane amounts of regulation and/or laws on everyone just because some people are sick, twisted individuals.

You know, if it was a woman in a men's section that got kicked out, it would be sexist. If a black man got kicked out of a nice store because they thought he'd rob it, it'd be racist. Now, I somehow don't like children because this man was doing nothing wrong.

I think you should contact the Dr. and get the story, then contact the store, then the news to get the whole story.

sorry but I am a big fan of profiling. It works.

sorry but I am a big fan of profiling. It works.

Did anyone think to profile Seung-Hui Cho when shot and killed 32 people and wounded 17 others at Va Tech in 07?

How about Timothy McVeigh? Afterall, he was a Army vet that decided to blow half of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City killing 168 people and injuring over 800 people. Where was the profiling there?

Ted Kaczynski (The "Unabomber") was born in Chicago, Illinois, where, as an intellectual child prodigy, he excelled academically from an early age. Kaczynski was accepted into Harvard University at the age of 16, where he earned an undergraduate degree, and later earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan. He became an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley at age 25, but resigned two years later. Profile?

Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab? The "underwear bomber" was a son of the richest people in Nigeria. Where was his profile?

Richard Reid? He was the "shoe bomber". He was also British, with a Jamaican father. How come no one profiled him?

Germaine Lindsay, one of the 7/7 London bombers, was Afro-Caribbean. Where was that profile?

Dirty bomb suspect Jose Padilla was Hispanic-American. Profile?

The 2002 Bali terrorists were Indonesian. Profile?

The Chechen terrorists who blew up two Russian planes in 2004 were female.

There are two kinds of profiling. There’s behavioral profiling based on how someone acts, and there’s automatic profiling based on name, nationality, method of ticket purchase, and so on....

Which one do you feel works? If you say behavioral, what about this man's behavior was need for alarm? Talking on a cell phone away from others? Or being in the children's section by himself?

Should we be alarmed that pedo's will be pulling up to the next car wash put on by your local high school cheerleading squad?

These rights we have are slowly erroding away, and unless we stand up for them, they will be gone...and when they go away, it's going to be tough getting them back. Like I said, there was no sign saying other wise, so until they put that sign up, I'll walk around where ever I want, and not think twice.

Oh please! What right? The right to be a creep in the kids section of the bookstore?! How about my right to not be offended by some sad creepy loser. It seems the only people that have rights are everyone else doing something obnoxious.

Or, maybe people should start minding their own business and worry about their own lives instead of being overzealous soccer moms that think everone with a weiner will molest their children....

Have you seen women's bathrooms?

Maybe in your face liberals should keep to their business and stop trying to indoctrinating us with making acceptance of the creepy, disturbed and deprived as normal. What seems to be your issue? Sounds like someone chased you out of someplace because of the way you looked.

How, exactly was this man a creep?

And yes, the store doesn't have a sign up saying he's not allowed, so he can go anywhere in the store the damn well pleases.

This man was a 73 year old Dr. for Chirst's sake, is that why he's creepy, and a loser? Please...are you going to start not taking your kids to the doctor in fears of he/she being molested by said doctor?

Based on most of your reasonings, this man was told to leave because he was "creepy" and in a children's section. It's totally ok, because we don't want kids being molested.

Maybe we shouldn't let our kids around cops either, all because this LAPD officer was caught taking pictures of a little girl?

Mark Dornan doesn’t like creepy crawlies taking “pictures” of his young daughter at the Garden Grove California Strawberry Festival, and WOE to the sucker who thinks they can. Mark tackles him, TAKES his gun, TAKES his camera, and learns afterward the man is an LAPD off-duty – as of yet unnamed – police officer. There were other pictures of other children – and pics of his own daughter from AN HOUR EARLIER.

“He came up and tried to sneak a picture of my daughter climbing out of this wagon in a short dress”… Authorities did not identify the officer, but confirmed that he works for the Los Angeles Police Department… The man was not arrested and police said the photos of the children were not considered pornographic. Police, however, took his camera but did not confiscate his gun because he carries a license…

I hope you aren't trying to say I'm a liberal....I'm a Libertarian who believes each individual has right that should NOT be infringed by others.

Never been kicked out of anywhere. Probably because I don't look "creepy".

I really want you to answer the last part of my last post.

Using the same idiotic reasoning shown in this entire thread, should we be allowing our children to come in contact with police officers since that one officer was caught taking unnecessary photos of someone's child? Or is it ok, because it was a cop, and he wasn't "creepy".? Afterall, most molestations happen from men..."creepy" men.

Yea he was doing something wrong, he was creeping someone out. Yea he was doing something wrong, he was complaining about it to the media. Sorry, there is no law, nor should there be a law that says you can not discriminate against creepy people. Get the government out of my business and the creeps can go pound sand.

I think his profession is kinda creepy too.

Really? Are you seriously asking who INDIVIDUAL liberties are for?

One would think if HE was the one comlaining, he'd be suing, and not accepting the apology, and "just wanting his life back" from all the media attention? :bigwhoop:

I am serious telling you that if you want to spout out about individual freedoms, it is a two way street and we all have them. That includes not liking creeps.

As for Dr. Perv media attention, he appears to be part of the media circle.

Why does it matter...just because YOU wouldn't do the job doesn't make someone a pedophile.

By that reasoning, trash men, crime scene cleanup crews, wastewater treatment plant operators, etc. etc. would be child molestors....

Try again.
