that is my point, people can drink alcohol to their hearts content (or until the OD) and use tobacco until they run out of money both of which are drugs. Why shouldnt weed, as natural as tobacco be allowed? It is safer than alcohol....

Safer as in mellowing out, yes. Safer as in health effects, no.
