You want someone covering your back that was dumb enough to have himself videotaped something he would most DEFINITELY recieve reprimand for? This is the same person who gets trigger-happy and shoots a friendly, or god FORBID if he were your superior somehow, decides it is a good idea to go into an unnecessary and extremely hostile situation...but gets it cleared to do it anyway.

I'm just saying...sure, I understand the "doesn't give an eff" aspect of this guy, as to why you would want him on your side...but how do you know that someone dumb enough to do this, on video, isn't dumb enough to do something else...especially if he is the "solo-hero" type.

Yeah it was a dumbass move, but does it warrant a discharge? Looking at the surroundings, didn't look like the dog had much of a chance anyway. It was stupid, stupid, stupid. Maybe this all would have been a non issue had the Marine just put the dog out of his misery with a bullet to the back of the head. Puppies can't control most their actions and as an officer I would have ordered the dog put down verse compromise our position or mission focus.
