In the never ending line of bullshit coming from the Democrats these days (and I say that as an independent who dislikes the uniparty altogether):

Maryland Making Major Progress Toward Reducing Immigration Barriers to Purchasing Health Coverage on State Based Marketplace

Today Governor Wes Moore will sign the Access to Care Act (HB 728/SB 705) sponsored by Senator Antonio Hayes and Delegate Bonnie Cullison. The bills will help more Marylanders to purchase health coverage from the state health benefit exchange, regardless of immigration status. The legislation will have no cost to the state, and is predicted to reduce uncompensated hospital care and improve emergency room wait times.

My wait times the past several months to either get a doctor appointment or imaging scheduled has been running anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months because the system is so overloaded. Just wait until the estimated 30-35 million illegal immigrants get added to the free health insurance rosters.

It literally says "Purchasing Health Coverage on State Based Marketplace".

It says it multiple times too. And you claim its to give "illegals free healthcare"

Do you not even read the crap you post and try to pass off as fact before you post it?

Hey dumbass, you do know that there are subsidies provided for people who purchase on the marketplace? Up to 100% of premiums. I believe an individual can earn up to $50,000 or more and get 100% subsidies. How many illegals are going to make that much? So, yeah, they're purchasing it, it's just a matter of who money they're using to do so. Otherwise, they could just go direct to CareFirst and buy it. I don't think Carefirst cares if you're a citizen, only if your money is good. But, I could be wrong.

If you want to debate that's fine. If you want to act like a dick, go **** yourself. Just to be fair, if I'm wrong, I'll go **** myself.

Well then you need to prove that is what's happening not just conjecture and complain about an imaginary scenario.

First you didn't even link your source.

Second what you did quote says purchase twice.

Third you can't get 100% free insurance through that marketplace.

So instead of repeating lies based on fake news. Do your own research and learn the truth then go fu** yourself.

They think if they word things a certain way it will fool us. The "immigrants" (not aliens, not undocumented) can "purchase" their insurance (with a 100% subsidy).

"Newcomers". The Dembots are calling them "newcomers" now. They keep trying to think of something benign and palatable to call these illegal invaders and nothing seems to stick because whatever name they come up with, the reality is still the same. Just like when liberals decided to call themselves "progressives" instead.

And a huge amount of these "newcomers" have sparks of divinity. 🙄

And meanwhile, this soon to be 65 year old woman who has worked and paid into social security her whole life is facing medicare costs and the endless bull$hit of trying to figure it all out including prescriptions plans "(D")
I have spent countless hours reading and on the phone to try to make sense of it all. One thing for sure is it is not FREE.
I'm not looking for advice... but I am disgusted that I have paid so much into the "system" and these ILLEGAL ALIENS are reaping the benefits.

I can tell you as a former Californian, this will NOT reduce emergency room wait times, and they know it, or they would not have mentioned that specifically.

Illegal aliens impact the emergency rooms on a daily basis from everything from summer colds to sore throats to stubbed toes. Okay, slight exaggeration on the stubbed toes. They use emergency rooms as their routine health care, and it's not them and/or the afflicted party (if not them), it's their entire fam damily. Emergency rooms are their primary care providers.

Well, the dembot sheeple are stupid, so their rulers think we all are.

I'm inclined to agree, since we haven't cleaned out that nest of vipers in Evil DC or any of the blue state capitol.

Exactly my point. Since the law says they MUST be treated in an ER, and then they just throw away any bills that might come (making it a 100% free service) then why would anyone expect them to sign up and PAY for any kind of plan???

The people who would become eligible to purchase coverage through Maryland healthcare exchanges based on this new law are ineligible for the federal subsidies (i.e. the advanced premium tax credit) and certain other forms of health care assistance.

That’s not to say that Maryland couldn’t come back later and decide to provide similar subsidies for those who, pursuant to this new law, purchase coverage through the Maryland exchanges. But as written the law doesn’t provide such subsidies.

And Maryland needs to get a waiver from the DHHS to implement this expanded exchange eligibility.
