From what I understand, Bradford's will be (are?) carrying corned hams for the holidays.

That's good to hear, but McKays had a reputation for looking terrific with good produce and meats for a while, then slowly going downhill. I'm hoping the new managers of Bradford's don't let that happen. If a lot of the staff is the same, are the managers also?
Not sure about the managers, just the butchers. Didnt recognize anybody in the deli that used to work there.

No heat in the building since it reopened...looked almost the same as the original store, less hot food choices.

But is there fried chicken? I've got a craving. I guess I'll have to swing by Chaptico Market on the way home.

I saw a picture of it. I heard the deli ladies are the ones that worked at McKays for years. I don't care about the rest of the store, I just want a good deli (hot and cold), close to home. It's always been nice to swing in there and get lunch or dinner.

I think that was the Hollywood store. Haven't heard anything about the larger store in L'town or California. Charlotte Hall is outside my field of view.
I knew that Hollywood was going to reopen - they were remodeling. I was past the Leonardtown store recently and there wasn't any sign of activity at al.

I was in there today. They have fried chicken bagged up. They got rid of the soup bar and one of the hot bars. Was never full anyway when Mckays had it. They are expensive on most stuff, so be prepared. Saw red top and agnes the stuff ham lady there. Some checkout people are the same also.

Maybe a Dollar Super Store? Based on the economic news I've been reading, it would probably not be the time to expand.
Interest rates are up, problems in the supply chain (empty shelves and higher prices) and the most important, hard to hire people.
The statistic that is making the administration look good is the 7 million able bodies people who ARE NOT looking for work.
That's 7 million people not looking for work, competing for jobs, making it hard to hire qualified people.

like the store that FAILED in San Souci where McKay's moved into
Actually, the wholesale grocery supplier that owned Shoppers decided to get out of the retail and of the business, closed down the stores, and sold locations to other grocery operators.
