MD approves yapping on Cell Phone Ban when driving

bcp

In My Opinion
:yeahthat: And for the record, I have completely hands free voice activated in my car. This law does not affect me, I just hate feel good nanny laws that do nothing.
I hate my voice activated dialing. Is your the built into the car one that comes with OnStar too?

its like,

call,
Number please
I give number
Slower please
I give number slower
slower please
I give number even slower
Goodbye.

and then i have to start over again.

by the way,
F-You is not a recognized command when it tells you slower please.

Some ban, it's a secondary offense so unless you are doing something else illegal you can still use your handheld cell phone.

:roflmao: Mine is a Dodge, so it actually works.

How often do you see a cop NOT on his cell phone?

True, but you'll get the argument that they've been "trained" to multitask like that. I do know it bugs me when I see it, mainly because you know it's not police business. They have radios for that.

I'll have to ask my BIL about this.

If you've ever had a wife as a passenger, you'd know that she'd never let anything get by.... you'd get a constant update on road conditions even if you weren't looking at the road..... So, it's actually better than talking on the phone with hands free.

I guess that with the realization that you would be calling for tow trucks on a regular basis, they ensured that at least that would work properly,,,

:pete: In 5 years and 80,000 miles, my wife's Dodge has been towed zero times. Other than normal items like brakes, the only repair has been for a broken parking brake cable.

She must be the only woman in the country that uses her parking brake
