I’m not certain, but I think he retired or didn’t like working on Fox anymore since it went against his political affiliations.
Nope, his contract was ending and he declined the extension Fox offered. I think it is more along the line of his health issues.
Thx. I did see his last segment and he said he wasn’t retiring, but going elsewhere.

"In late December, Ms. Ghasemzadeh and her brother Shahin departed Iran, bound for the United States. She knew about Mr. Trump’s promise to crack down on migrants but said she believed that he was targeting only criminals.

They went to Abu Dhabi, then South Korea and arrived in Mexico City. There, they asked around at a hotel and found a smuggler. He charged them each $3,000 and ferried them to Tijuana.

There, near the border wall in the middle of the night, the smuggler pointed to a ladder.

“Go,” she remembers the smuggler saying. “Climb the wall and go, quick.”

When her feet touched American soil, she burst into tears. “It’s over,” she said she told her brother. “We are finally here.”"

If Artemis Ghasemzadeh's story is true then she should have gone to a port of entry and applied for asylum.

Well if true this would be a REAL CASE of looking for Asylum, not a fake asylum seeker from South America looking for Buffalo Wild Wings

You sir are the world’s biggest hypocrite. On behalf of Joe Biden, you and the WHCA blocked access to outlets Biden didn’t want covering the White House like Breitbart News—and you still do not allow us access into the pool coverage. The WHCA is a corrupt and decrepit organization that does NOT represent a free press.

Obama and Biden had a screened list of "reporters" they called on during press conferences - name and outlet - and Biden even had a card with pictures of the reporters, the question and answer. But yeah, tell me more about how you guys are unbiased heroes.

PRESS FREEDOM: Jeff Bezos has shocked the far-left Washington Post's staff by telling them the Op-Ed page is only going to include pro-America editorials focused on the defense of personal liberties and free markets. David Shipley stepped down as opinion editor as a result. Bezos the rest of the paper could continue to reflect the far-left values of the papers editors. Bezos also emphasizes that he is “of America” and seeks to celebrate the uniquely American values that have driven innovation and prosperity. He argues that these perspectives are underrepresented in today’s media landscape.

Jeff Bezos sent an email to Washington Post employees announcing a new direction for the opinion section. Going forward, it will focus daily on two core pillars: personal liberties and free markets. He stated that viewpoints opposing these principles will be published elsewhere.

PRESS FREEDOM: In 2020, the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) established a rotating schedule limiting OANN's Chanel Rion access to the briefing room to certain days. When Rion obtained permission from the Trump administration to stand in the back of the room whenever she wanted the WHCA's Red Members voted to permanently exclude her. The WHCA should not be permitted to control which reporters and media outlets can cover the president. Rion is now back in the briefing room thanks to President Trump. Who else has been excluded? https://x.com/amuse/status/1894804949516853352…

WaPo Editor Quits After Bezos Orders Opinion Page to Defend Free Markets, Personal Liberty

“I am of America and for America, and proud to be so. Our country did not get here by being typical,” Bezos continued. “And a big part of America’s success has been freedom in the economic realm and everywhere else.”

He stressed that “Freedom is ethical — it minimizes coercion — and practical — it drives creativity, invention, and prosperity.”

Of Shipley, Bezos said, “I offered David Shipley, whom I greatly admire, the opportunity to lead this new chapter. I suggested to him that if the answer wasn’t ‘hell yes,’ then it had to be ‘no.’”

“After careful consideration, David decided to step away.”

Yeah, that’s a shame.

NEW: Scott Jennings lays out the facts as CNN panel seethes over WH press access reforms:

“In the first months of the Trump administration, the president took 1009 questions, hardly dictatorial behavior. Same stat for Joe Biden, 141."

"And I would remind you all that in 2023, the Biden administration revoked the hard passes of 442 journalists."

"And at the time, the White House Correspondents Association took a non-committal stance. So if you're worried about transparency, Trump is being just more transparent."

PBS @NewsHour came into my office begging for more taxpayer money today.

They handed me a mug labeled ‘Made in Texas’… but it was actually made in China.

Just like their programming, it's all a façade. We’re done funding left-wing propaganda.

As RedState readers will recall, Carr opened an investigation into both PBS and NPR in late January on grounds both partially publicly-funded "news" networks "could be violating federal law by airing commercials." He went even further in the letter he wrote to them, pointing out at the time how it was his opinion that they should have been defunded long ago:

"For my own part, I do not see a reason why Congress should continue sending taxpayer dollars to NPR and PBS given the changes in the media marketplace since the passage of the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967."

Needless to say, if PBS thought their visit with Gill and (presumably) other Republican members of Congress was going to change hearts and minds, they were sadly mistaken.
