Okay dems… I’ll tell ya the story of the dude I ran into while on travel in Havelock, N.C. I was 21 and on travel with my bestest friend. We had to spend two weeks at the CherryPoint marine base to provide training on the database query system we were supporting for the Navy at that time. One evening at the hotel, I left the room to go down the hall to get some ice. I vaguely remembered passing a guy in the hallway, but didn’t think anything of it. That is not until I got back to the hotel room and the phone rang. It was the dude I passed in the hallway. He said I had “put out vibes” and he was beside himself. He proceeded to tell me that he had become overwhelmed and he had this sense I was destined to do something wonderful with my life and he wanted to be a part of it even if it was only one night (hence, the post I placed in the “pick up line” thread).

I handed the phone to my friend and she proceeded to listen to his babble with the occasional “you don’t say” or other applicable response… we handed the phone back and forth for a while the whole time doubled over with laughter that this dude could even think this would work for him. But he kept going. The conversation pretty much came to and end when somehow we got around to the fact that he was married. He proceeded to say, “My wife wouldn’t mind. She would understand.”
My friend and I still laugh about that story to this day… she would always tease me about “my vibes” whenever we would be out and about and a strange dude would make a bee-line for my barstool.
