Eitherway, while grounded I just didn't recognize myself anymore, didn't like what I'd become...looked in the closet at the clothes I USED to wear, etc... thought about my friends I used to hang with, and wondered... where'd I go? Who am I?
I broke off the relationship, especially after he decided that if I'm grounded it meant he could come over to the house and then he started bringing his older Hell's Angel's gang friends to the house... Good Gosh, I thought my father was going to lose it that day and go postal....
Ahhh... the things kids put their parents through. I think I'll go drop him a nice card in the mail during lunch...

dems4me said:I didn't do anything out of the ordinary... most teenagers go through a wild phase of sorts... Besides, I'm getting a headache just thinking back that long ago... My father's biggest dating lesson for me to adhere to was to "never date a guy you can't beat up"
Occassionally it did happen, it was the Navy guy (as my father didn't want me dating military men and insisted they all had STDs, etc..) anyways, he was drunk and was arguing with me in the car outside of my house and wouldn't give me a tape back or something or other... and then got obnoxious... I told him perhaps my father would straighten his azz out, etc... he still was being a jerk, I physically wriggled free from him, and into the house - it was about 1 or 2 am... I woke my dad up explaining things and my (strong, tall, muscle man) dad said he'd go out and have a talk with him... I was worried because I knew my boyfriends mood... I said... "becarefull Dad he might want to fight you... " Boy... I never saw my Dad fly around the house soo fast... it was more than apparent, he'd been waiting for THIS day for quite some time... he was putting his shoes on both shoes at a time and couldn't get out the door fast enough... I have yet to ever see my Dad move soo fast to get out the door still to this day...

TIGERLILY said:And he let you out of the house after all that? I would still be grounded.
dems4me said:I wasn't 22 - he was about 21 or 22 I was still in highschool... I was long gone and moved out of the house by 22.
My dad was sooo funny... "Oh well if that's the case!!!" and hauln' azz to get out there so he can beat him up... :
I don't remember if there was a fight or anything later, I had went to bed and passed out.
Then a few weeks later, we spent the day getting drunk in his car as he had no place to stay and had to be out of the hotel by 11:00. We drank several bottles of MD20/20 parked on a deserted road and we passed out and the car had stopped running!! It was freezing!!!!
Later that summer we were drinking alot then got into a fight... he drove me home (now driving a truck) and was totally wasted and wanted to have a word with my father... my father grabbed his keys and wouldn't let him drive back to the base that night because he was too drunk and boyfriend slept out in the back of his truck and loudly cried all night and screaming my name, etc.... (the neighbors loved this incident)... and my older brother had to go out there and babysit here and there throughout the night to shut him up.
What finally was the kicker with this guy was a year later him getting drunk and working under the hood of my car (clunker that didn't run) and he had all these extra parts all over the place when he said he was done (almost half an engine worth) ... he then dented the car from kicking it in a rage and then kicked all the extra parts down the sewer and said I didn't need those parts... there was soo many parts missing when I got it looked at professionally, the mechanics had to go by a manual to see what was missing or not. What a

TIGERLILY said:I dated a guy quite a bit like that. He was sweet enough to call collect from jail to see if I could bail him out after his DUI. He had to hurry and get back to his ship. Needless to say I was not the one who went to bail him out. My dad was convulsing, I was grounded for a month just for the collect phone call.
Nothing to add. I was more selective in the men that I dated...:shrug:dems4me said:Ahhh.... jump in any tiime... Morgan? Kwillia? TiggerLIlly? CityGirl? Vrai? any of y'all date gems like this one before
