The piercer who did a few of mine suggested I look into them because I wanted some surface piercings but they have EXTREMELY high rejection rates and I dont want to deal with scarring and such...so after som research I want to find somewhere..i may have to go up the road some if I cant find a local place... Im not worried about it hurting..I have many piercings..the "pain" is nothing.

I want two..one above each collarbone.

I couldn't do it myself, I still have nightmares from when my Mom took me to get my ears pierced in 2nd grade. :cds:

I'm pretty sure that second pic does not depict mircoderms, but straight piercing. The corset one.

Finally got them done..super cute and I cannot say enough good things about red octopus! what a great place..exceedingly clean, very relaxed and comfortable. The piercer peaches was really sweet and took her time marking me and making sure it was straight..which is always good and was quick and efficient..and i am super pleased! :larry:

How quick was quick?

Which part was worse, the dermal punch or the insertion?

What's the projected heal time?

Can you feel the plate under the skin if you lightly palpate?

Considering the location, what do you think the potential is for snagging them on your clothes?

Are you willing to post pics?

It took approx 1 min or so for each side..the dermal punch itself was maybe 10 sec or so...the rest was her making the pocket and inserting the jewelry...way quicker process than I thought.

The dermal punch, to me, was less painful than a needle. what I really felt was the pressure on my collarbone when she pressed down..and a slight pinch..The first side was nearly painless ..and the second was more uncomfortable (ran out of adrenaline i guess) but the punch wasn't terrible, and inserting the actual piece was a little more uncomfortable but again so quick. I wouldn't call any of it pain.

It takes a month or two for it to heal up.

So far, I can't feel it under the skin. this may be from the veryyy slight swelling around the area..but i can't locate it.

so far, I haven't had a problem with snagging. They are fairly flush against the skin, and normal fabric rubbing doesn't seem to disturb them. My piercer warned me to cover them with cotton if I wore something that may snag or could be pulled on..havent had a problem with that.

i took this pic about 1 hour after it was done..thats the dressing above it. not the best pic..I will have to take another when it heals up a bit..

You did all that to get a couple of little balls on your chest?

You know, we don't cotton to that kind of language around here, young lady.

Ive only seen microdermal anchors that compliment the tattoos they are integrated with.
I don't see the point of it all, but hope you're happy with your anchors.
