How quick was quick?
Which part was worse, the dermal punch or the insertion?
What's the projected heal time?
Can you feel the plate under the skin if you lightly palpate?
Considering the location, what do you think the potential is for snagging them on your clothes?
Are you willing to post pics?
It took approx 1 min or so for each side..the dermal punch itself was maybe 10 sec or so...the rest was her making the pocket and inserting the jewelry...way quicker process than I thought.
The dermal punch, to me, was less painful than a needle. what I really felt was the pressure on my collarbone when she pressed down..and a slight pinch..The first side was nearly painless ..and the second was more uncomfortable (ran out of adrenaline i guess) but the punch wasn't terrible, and inserting the actual piece was a little more uncomfortable but again so quick. I wouldn't call any of it pain.
It takes a month or two for it to heal up.
So far, I can't feel it under the skin. this may be from the veryyy slight swelling around the area..but i can't locate it.
so far, I haven't had a problem with snagging. They are fairly flush against the skin, and normal fabric rubbing doesn't seem to disturb them. My piercer warned me to cover them with cotton if I wore something that may snag or could be pulled on..havent had a problem with that.
i took this pic about 1 hour after it was done..thats the dressing above it. not the best pic..I will have to take another when it heals up a bit..
